How the hell do you get companions to use the guns you give them? Im giving these fools modded miniguns and fukkin' combat shotguns and they wanna just use their grandpas old rusty ass revolver

How the hell do you get companions to use the guns you give them? Im giving these fools modded miniguns and fukkin' combat shotguns and they wanna just use their grandpas old rusty ass revolver
go into their inventory and highlight(go to) the item you want them to use, after that there should be a button that says 'equip' at the bottom of the screen, press that button and they'll use it. You also need to make sure they have ammo for the gun you want them to use.
Put the item in their inventory with some ammo, then press the equip button. On PS4 I think the button is triangle. Look on the bottom of the inventory to see what the button is. Also some companions will only use certain types of weapons and armor. Like with Strong you have to find special Superhuman armor, he can't equip regular human armor. Dogmeat can only wear dog armor, and a few human head items like goggles and bandannas. I think that for Strong, he is a melee type character and prefers hammers and shyt like that.How the hell do you get companions to use the guns you give them? this game has some odd morality themes in it. Its almost like it wants you to think robots = humans. IDK brehs, I could see robots thinking humans are too weak and deciding to kill all of them off because they think they are the evolved human, like how when you fight some Superhumans they believe they are an evolved human.

Did you just spam shops and assign all your workers to them? That's what I did and my happiness in Red Rocket jumped from 80 to 95...I figure I build one or two more to get to 100.
