I like the acting but it was nothing special to me that made distinct in the genre.American Hustle was actually pretty damn good...didn't care for the Artist though

Same thing happened to Fruitvale Station and Michael B. Jordan.
That's what happens breh. Very rarely do you get a movie that comes out early, like spring or summer, and still gets award love, let alone votes. It's crazy to think about it but silence of the lambs came out in february 91 and still managed to win best picture when the oscars were held almost a year later. That's a rare feat
