Xmen, GotG, Spiderman 2:camby:

Give me some thought-provoking cinema instead of that kiddy bullshyt:scusthov:

Gone Girl:ahh:
Interstellar:ohhh:
Selma:obama:

While I don't agree with you kicking dirt on those flicks, I do agree with the sentiment. I'm so damn hype for Gone Girl this weekend

Fall/Winter oscar season brings two perfect things: the best movies and the best film festivals. Its the number one reason I love film and the Fall outside of Football season

I like both but let's not pretend the Fall don't come with average movies. As was mentioned, the Artist as well as American Hustle.

Oprah Winfrey is producing "Selma." Guaranteed hallmark card trash

Depends on the perspective breh. One mans average is another mans Oscar winner. But to be real it is generally the time where quality holds more weight over box office receipts and while it does lead to snobbery the film geek in me loves it. 12 years a slave wolf of Wall Street no country for old men. Then we get dope performances like Daniel day in there will be blood. This fall alone we get inherent vice and interstellar and gone girl. That's just a few. Of course you can get bad or average flicks but it's on a different curve. An average movie in the summer is like a lead off man hitting a single. He's just trying to get on base. An average movie this season is still swinging for the fences
