TOLD YOU nikkaS!

Faison told 100% facts! I said the same thing in the Dave Chappelle comedy thread. The controversy made him a legend. Not his skills even though DC is dope. White people made him a legend.

DC ain't no fukking anti-industry like this dumb nikka I was arguing with said. That nikka IS INDUSTRY. He ain't rebelling against the establishment hes a black republican.

And for the people who don't think DC is hollywood manufactured, name one thing he did that justified him being on the Chappelle Show.

Here's the thing:

Dave Chappelle walked away from Hollywood previously. Im talking before the comedy central deal. He walked away from a Fox deal. And he made it to the top with Chapelle show then walked away again after Comedy Central threw the bread his way. Seems like he has some type of integrity.

Chappelle found a way to have the sophomoric jokes (which the white folks love), but in b/w those he injects some very introspective comedy and social commentary. Its almost brilliant. Because he can make the white folks laugh, and drop something heavy that people will laugh at, but its social commentary. The joke becomes even funnier later because you recognize the truth in what he's saying, and the brilliance of it all.

Breh the shyt is equivalent to saying Richard Pryor and Paul Mooney are industry made cause white folks love their shyt.

I been to 3 Paul Mooney concerts before he got sick and white folks would have that joker packed. All while Paul was dogging they asses out.

Having white fans doesn't automatically mean you are industry invented. If that is the case MJ, Prince, Ike Turner and Tina and many other black artist where "INVENTED" by the industry.

Didn't Dave walk away from multi-million dollar gig at Comedy Central because he DIDN'T want to be made by Hollywood??? :camby:

breh, Dave was already Hollywood. I am not knocking or dissing him so dont get it confused. I love Dave, but we are just talking facts. Dave evolved just like anyone else as he gained more knowledge. when people started talking about the feminization of black males in HW then he came out and said they always tried to do that but he had done the same thing with Men in Tights. I am not clowning him like others were because the man was like 19 or something when he played in that movie. Eventually Dave began to take stances against HW as you stated, but that doesnt mean that isnt how his career was introduced to the masses.

Chapelle had the Half Baked type of crowd. Rock had the nikkax. Chapelle' black fanbase grew into what it is now. Faizon was born with a mouth to talk with but point in someone else's direction with the quality, numbers & hype around them that Dave has

he did...and AFTER Dave got large on CC then they went back and changed the movie's cast billing. he wasnt top billed iirc. I actually bought the original pressing of the DVD back in 99 and I still have it. they later changed the cover with a big face of Chapelle on it and billed him as the star, even though he was one of the writers. HB saw most of its success after Dave got big which was a few years later.

Kevin Hart is king of popularity not Comedy. Nothing stated by Faison was true. Dave has the receipts and quality work to hold that title. Kevin Hart is family friendly and he will never be a king of comedy because he doesn't take risks with his material.
Faizon ain't saying anything about Chappelle that y'all haven't been saying about Kevin Hart. :usure:

What's good for the goose...
