just tried to apply for a local warehouse job. its asking my what my school qualifications are, what my current/previous jobs is, references from employers etc.
i just gave up.
you can give up when your dead. your still collecting experience points. Get used to rejection. There's thousands of other people looking for jobs. This one just wasn't yours. Every time you fail, you learn something about how to succeed.
Volunteer experience would help you fill in all that stuff, and it will build your character, give you confidence, etc
The best thing to do is to try to apply anywhere in person. ask to speak to the manager and say you don't have much experience, it is your first job and your serious about getting your life together. They will see your commitment to yourself translate into work ethic.
There MUST be a government program to help you with your resume or to find you volunteer work. I just met the guy who helped me with my resume at my job today.
