I agree 100% crowds in the Attitude were very similar to last night. The only difference was they were more vulgar back then.I could live with smark crowds at every show, if it gets boring for some oh well, but I love it.

The wrestlers probably LOVE performing in front of those kind of crowds. A lot of them last night, like Cena, Big Show, JBL, and Ziggler, knew what was up and went along with it. Those who take themselves too seriously (RKO comes immediately to mind) are going to get pissed because they don't know how to adapt to these kind of crowds.

Yep it really is, seems like it made perfect sense months ago but they held off on it.
Attitude Era crowds were buying into the show though.
The show was aimed much more at young adults then, this crowd was full of young adults.
Editor’s note: WWE.com thanks what may have been the best crowd in Raw history in East Rutherford, N.J.'s IZOD Center for their participation in tonight’s show. Your enthusiasm was infectious and we’re glad you had fun. To Boston, as they say: “follow that.”
P.S.: You're right. That theme song is kind of catchy.
Booing faces and cheering heels because its cool
Random chants of no meaning
"We are awesome"
Seriously cornball status, feel bad for the non Virgins in the crowd just trying to enjoy the show
When the crowd is mocking your match, that can't be a lot of fun. But the truth is Randy and Sheamus could have turned that thing, they should have heard the crowd chanting random names and done their moves or taunts or something.
This is why Cena is Cena, that dude knows at that point, you've gotta play along. That crowd is now a part of the show and you have to interact with them and treat them like a cast member.
But if there was a heel turn planned for Orton that night, you knew that's gotta be annoying because it fukks up the script.

Orton seemed absolutely clueless out there on how to handle the crowd. To me at least, it looked like Sheamus wanted to break kayfabe and go with it but held back.
I find Orton struggling to adapt to the crowd hilarious since he WANTS to be heel. What a perfect time to give them a taste and push Vince's hand. Break kayfabe, who cares.
If I'm hearing Randy Savage chants, you damn right I'm busting on those quick jabs, or the elbow drop. Xpac? Bronco buster. RVD? Frog splash.
Deal with the repercussions when you walk past the Gorilla position afterwards.![]()
