:ahh:
I barely write on my facebook page or others for that matter. I use it more for the chat function.

As far as the study goes, I can believe that it's true for some people

if you're a miserable hater that doesnt like to see others do well, then of course FB is going to fukk with you because its nonstop boasting, bragging, and people posting pictures doing fun sht. I dont invest too much into others, because like everything else they're just giving you a superficial glance of what they want you to think their life is like. Plus I keep my friends list relatively small, and only befriend people I actually want to hear from, and generally see on a consistent basis. Just another form of communication for me.
.

For Facebook I hated it at first, I guess because I'm somewhat reserved and enjoy the idea of being incognito, plus it bothers me at times that I'm expressing thoughts and feelings along with showcasing images of my daily adventures to people who play no part in my life, their only reason for being friends with me on Facebook is because we once knew each other. In the case of being upset at others happiness, happiness is good but in my case I don't express my happiness, but instead my thoughts and music; sometimes I even quote Gucci and sometimes I quote Fyodor Dvostoesky, depending on how I feel. My only complaint about Facebook is that (with the people I've befriended) hardly anything that posted is thought provoking. Yesterday I posted a line from a Clarice Lispector book saying:
"Like any human being, I am a mix of ...what I want to be, what I think I am and what people think I am." -Clarice Lispector

Unfortunately it was the only intellectual thing that I've read since I've been on there. The other posts are complaints, bragging about how great life is, and pictures of themselves. I'm not saying that Facebook should be full of philosophers and "deep" people, but sometimes I would like to participate in a conversation that could stir up feelings, encourage thoughts, and be beneficial. I just don't see life the way they do, or perhaps I don't appreciate life like they do.

Expand our circles of friends?

Look on the coli, it's hard to find someone similar to you and I, imagine being 21 and offline; it's even harder for a pimp out there.

Hell naw, dont look at the coli for a damn thang! This place is like the alleyway behind the developmentally challenged learning center.

Naw, I feel you. Im in my later 20s, so a lot of my friends are maturing, It was a free for all when all my cohorts were in their early 20s and teens. Start going to film festivals, art museums, and lounges.

canceling my account a few years ago was a great decision.
:salute: to all the non-facebookers.
