Extant: Anyone watch the premiere

I was flipping through channels and decided to tune in as it was starting, not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I had no idea it was scifi/futuristic and I like those kind of shows. Plus I also have no idea what's going to happen next (the pilot set up a lot of questions), so I'll at least watch the next ep.

Anyone else watch?

I checked it..Quite a few things irritated me..but at the same time the story is compelling. The fact that there are so many unanswered questions, leaves me wanting to watch the next one to see what the show really about.

Also, the freaky kid character is played out
lol at the father at the meeting trying to say a human kid and a robot are the same, then having the nerve to call the woman stupid for suggesting they're different.

Yea there are a couple of the usual "cliches" ("This goes all the way to the TOP!" conspiracies and weird kids).

I assumed that guy couldn't talk to her because someone was watching them? Or maybe he was afraid of the kid?

I'm less interested in the kid and more interested in (presumably soon to come) other human robots that the husband is going to build, and whether or not they all revolt together or some shyt.

I started laughing when She looked over the tapes and it's just her by herself caressing a ghost. Deleted the tape with the quickness

I don't get it. How was she able to delete the video all by herself? This is supposed to be "the future". You would think that they would be able to retrieve the deleted footage (I'm calling bullshyt) or at least restrict her access to delete it. Makes no sense to me

And the way dude was talking about robots being human too and not needing a kill switch if they revolt was straight

Besides that, I was happy to see Dogen from Lost and Halle did a good job so I'll watch the first season.

I wanna slap the shyt outta Ethan though.

Wasn't terrible... I'll watch the next ep when I get a chance, but I agree with some criticisms in here.

Robots wont need a kill switch?

I'm glad the red head chick is really working with yasumoto. After her scene in the lab, I was like do we really need her as an extra separate antagonist just cause.

This guy has to keep rebuilding his son with new parts so that he appears to be aging. Yet he doesn't see the difference between his son and a human child.

pretty intriguing stuff so far
