It peaked at #40

And would have been at the teens if Drake didn't snake it nor Nintendo

White Iverson and Trap nikkas has over 50million SoundCloud plays yet never peaked that high.

I didn't hear about this song until Drake released Hotline Bling. I don't even recall a thread on this song on the Coli either. It's a different story for Trap Nikkas and White Iverson.

Keeping it 100, D.R.A.M. is garbage, Cha Cha is garbage and Hotline Bling is one of my least favorite Drake singles ever. I also fail to see how Drake stole Cha Cha...

Cha cha isn't hip hop it's not a lane your ears listening to.

Doesn't mean it ain't hot, country bumpkins still going near platinum with thier albums yet nobody on here would even realise it.:yeshrug:

The "industry plant" thing needs to be retired. Everyone you see in the industry is going to be a "plant". The simple reason is it takes money to break an artist. You have to pay to get on these showcases like SXSW, CMJ, and all this other crap. None of this comes free. The industry sold everyone the illusion for years that X was found on the street corner and made a star overnight. That is simply marketing to make you feel a connection to the artist.

Kendrick had TDE, Drake has been in the system since he was kid, hell Birdman took Young Thug to another level. In the 90's you had alot of drug dealers fronting these artists, but it was the same game. It's simply how business works. Someone mentioned that you can buy a ticket to the Grammy's at this point. If you have the dollars, you can make things happen. Doesn't mean your act will be a success, but the industry will happily let you spend your money to try. Why do you think you hear the same songs on the radio everyday? Someone is paying to keep their songs on and to keep non paying artists off the air.

Get over it. Unless you put up money in anything in life, you will only be left with what other people want to give you. I have personally seen D.R.A.M. in concert with Chance the Rapper and D.R.A.M. knows how to work a crowd and has a legit voice. Warner/Atlantic is the baby major label and if you have money you too can get a distribution deal with them. Will he blow? Who knows, but the groundwork has been laid.

Word. When did "indusry plant" become a thing? Random artists have been signed and pushed since forever in hip hop. Unless I'm not understanding what "industry plant" means.

First time I saw/heard Cha Cha was in March from 2dopeboyz

D.R.A.M.'s "Cha Cha" Will Own Your Summer

I recall at least 2-3 threads on here about the song

I'm :dead: at, out of all the people to draw the line on being a plant, it's god damn DRAM that The Coli picks.

And then the cherry on top is Napoleon 5 starring the thread. @Christopher browns if that happens you probably fukked up somewhere.

Beyonce was dancing to his song way before the song got big. That was weird.
