Explain to me the difference between GGG/Kovalev

Can only measure him against who he's been in with I wouldn't say his footwork is better than Kova's, I'd say they both have great footwork. I also wouldn't say that GGG's technique is "better" than Kova's when it comes to punching. GGG is going to earn style points because of the combos he throws but Kova is incredibly effective with what he does though and is altogether, a very efficient fighter. The fact he's been seated a few times has to be brought up though. You can go "Yeah blah blah Scotty Riggs etc etc" but Kovalev got knocked down Blake Caparello, who when he fought Kova had almost the identical 19 win with 6KO record as Willie Monroe Jr (and went down to super middle and couldn't hurt dudes there), and if Monroe had put down GGG what type of "HE'S A FRAUD" 'SUSPECT CHIN" etc etc would you be having right now Try and keep it 100 fam :ehavb:

I don't agree with the Ring having GGG over Kova in the P4P. I think he should be 6 behind Rig and Kovalev.

I'm being as real an unbiased as possible and you still try to nit pick my post.

I stand by that statement....That sometimes you won't do everything at 100% if you know you're not in there with a threat. We see that shyt all the time. Not everybody does it though, but enough do. So I don't get the smiley response for that one breh. This is also why I said it's hard to gauge GGG since we don't know his true ceiling. He hasn't fought anybody on the level of Pascal/Hopkins.

I hardly ever see GGG back up in a straight line and get tagged with overhead shots, so that has to do with footwork to me. Kovalev does that shyt all the time and has been dropped/hit for doing so. I pretty much said their footwork is equal, (I think GGG's defensive footwork is better for the reason I just stated) and you nikkas is still catching hissy fits.

I've yet to see Kovalev stand there and just get tagged with shots. Why isn't this defensive footwork being used to avoid them? "Big drama show"? Ali backed up in a straight line as well I guess he doesn't have good footwork as well? Backing up in a straight line is NOT a problem if you have a side step after it to make your opponent readjust. Hell even back up straight isn't a big sin if you already have your opponent's distance gauged.

Stevens was about competitive for 2 rounds and took a major ass kicking. Yeah he landed a few hard shots, but ya'll reaching with how good Stevens looked. Ouma is the only person to have actually won more than 2 rounds against GGG. Monroe won 1 round and had some moments, but got destroyed.

In this very thread I said we saw glimpses of GGG inability to fight on the inside against Stevens and the confirmation against Monroe Jr. Monroe even said in a post fight interview he should have kept the fight on the inside.

Mind you I never mentioned GGG cutting off the ring, because he's no Duran or Chavez Jr with it and since he hasn't faced an elite boxer/mover its tough to say. I think it's his power that really makes the ring small. Dudes retreat and he just zeroes in on nikkas.
