Braun dug his own hole. You could tell Cokeboy was ready to put the rocket on him, but Braun wasn't ready for it. I think him stiffing Brock & Brock giving him a receipt didn't help things out either.

That has to be it. Doesn't make sense for him to have all that momentum and they never pull the trigger unless something happened that we don't know about.
There were several occasions where he could have won the title (No Mercy 2017, WrestleMania 34, Crown Royal 2018), but it didn't happen. It should have been a triple threat at WrestleMania 34 with Lesnar and Reigns, but instead, they have Strowman win the tag titles with a ten-year-old boy. Crown Jewel was his last chance, but they assassinated him there.
For a long time now, Strowman has been what Peyton Manning was for the first half of his career: Someone who puts up MVP numbers and consistently plays well in the regular season, but when it comes to the playoffs, he can never get the job done.
