After the Wu doc and seeing ghost have a meltdown that Divine was getting a cut of a deal as a manager I realized that those dudes had no clue about business or management. Managers don't do shyt for free... Dude was mad because he wanted to get 100% of gains off a deal. If you wanna do that then manage yourself :heh: U-God wasn't any better he got a flopped solo and that's it. I'd rather listen to a Cappa solo any day. Hell give me street life :dead:

Reality is them dudes didn't have a lot of business knowledge. Ghost prolly my fav member but him getting them banned off radio for damn near a decade hurt them. them bailing on the Rage tour hurt them. It wasn't RZA or Divine. :yeshrug:

Divine was out in Staten buying homes for dirt cheap and sitting large today. Power was building a clothing brand etc. These dudes were not enterprising. The story about Meth being forced to record the song with Mary was also :snoop:

Was All I need forced or another track?

Where is this from Of mics and men documentary? Ty

I heard it before the doc. Yes all I need. Meth was not about doing the song I think they gave him a chain and something else to entice him for the collabo.

But it says that on the doc too?

If true that's fukked. Part of the reason I loved that joint was it celebrated monogamy and someone as cool as Meth was about that.

And he has mentioned it was about his wife who I believe he's still with. So the info is conflicting.

I saw him in interviews saying he was for that track.

I only saw the intro for Mics n men. So it says that there?

Can it be bought on DVD? I don't have Netflix and My Mom at her apt doesn't have the premium to watch it.

i don't remember if it was on the doc to be honest. the track is still great that doesn't take away from it. I mentioned that story just to illustrate that they were stubborn dudes. He might have missed out on his biggest single feature.

I legit was like :mindblown: when I saw Ghost going off about that. Like isn’t Wu money SUPPOSED to stay in the family:wtf:

But then again, Ghost DID sue Rza and win 800k or some shyt, so there was a bit of funny business going on. Can’t blame Ghost all the way if Divine and RZA couldn’t keep the books in order.

you can watch the wu doc if you signup for a free hulu trial (30 days)...then w/in the hulu app signup for a free SHO trial (only 7 days) to watch the doc...it’s great...it doesn’t feature the meth/mary story if I recall...if it does then I must’ve glazed over it

That's still dysfunctional as hell tho lol if y'all can chop it up, tour and build, why can't y'all settle your differences outside of the courthouse?:hhh::mindblown:

I guess it’s a form of not mixing business and pleasure...one is one...the other is the other...seems like these dudes now have a firm grasp of that after earlier experiences together cuz it’s definitely not easy @ all to keep the two separate

Yes @surf with the complete internet hook up! Thank you!

The collages that I saw with the rare flyers and rare footage put me right back in the golden era. From the intro I saw. Id buy this on DVD.

Me neither. Maybe there was other things that was presented in court but from what we know it just seems like Ghost didn't wanna pay RZA what all artists have to pay the producers who produce for them. Like @Amestafuu (Emeritus) was saying, it seems these dudes didn't wanna pay RZA and Divine for shyt all producers and managers usually get paid for in the industry.
