When I say sore, I mean REALLY SORE...I feel like Gun Play after the BET Awards.

I just started working out again after a hiatus. If my body is sore to the point I slowly move due to soreness (slight stiffness) do I take time off to rest or is this normal?

Best time to do it, don't have to hurt yourself.... but do something. Teach your muscles a fukking lesson.

Whats "DOMS"?

So I take it I should not take time off to heal?

its not "heal" per se. You have to retrain your muscle to deal with the resistance. Right now, its confused because you slacked off as far as the muscle is concerned. Jump right back in in two days. but go light and slowly build resistance! Also, STRETCH BEFORE and AFTER! real stretches... none of that 1 min oooggly gooogly stuff.

its normal, all that means is your body is getting used to being work. If you didnt feel any pain youre doing something wrong.

Drink some protein or BCAAs and take a cold shower and stretch also

Just deal with the pain for a week or two and the DOMs will go away. I always have this problem going to back to play ball. It's starting to heat up:flabbynsick:

I think BCAAs and Glutamine will help with the DOMS.

But if you're not really gonna get after the weights, I would suggest letting your body adjust to your routine on its own, without the supplementation

Thas normal like others have said.

Use a foam roll if your gym has it...helps a lot.

Word to the foam roller. I don't have a foam roller per se, but I did buy a piece of PVC pipe from Home Depot to use on my quads after a heavy leg day. The DOMS was killing me, but rolling my muscles on that pipe had me like :sadbron::why::damn::sadcam:

My man put me on to the rumble roller, which has all these notches and stuff, supposed to get real deep in the muscle. I wanna buy it but it's like 60 bucks.
