I switched to the 4S last year. Prior to that I had the OG Droid, Droid Incredible, the Nexus S, and the Galaxy Nexus before making the switch. With Android phones, I always found myself sending them back to my carrier because they would start acting buggy, touch screen would lag, battery issues, etc.

I'm not a fan of all these crazy UIs over stock Android (not a fan of Sense, Motoblur, fukkking hate Samsungs Touchwiz)

The problems with the Nexus line....the specs never add up. Stock Android to me is awesome...but everything is is middle of the road.

HTC, Motorola, Samsungs....I already stated how I felt about their UIs....but all the carrier bloatware that comes on those things...ehh

A true match for an iPhone......stock Android+ high end specs like the S3...you would think they would have figured this out by now

Its called rooting. Get a s3 flash two files over and there u go. A high end android phone with stock android smh.

If you need someone to explain to you why S3 is superior, then you don't know anything about hardware, so you should just stick with Apple so you don't get confused.

Apple products and software are great for novices. That's why I recommend them for my older family Members and ditzy girls who love status symbols.

I was wondering the same thing before I make my purchase Friday. Some dude on Youtube showed a lot of features on the S3 that had me like. :ohhh: Besides the screen the tap to top, swipe to take pictures, face unlock, easy text to call and putting the phone flat down to ignore calls. Like dude said some of the features are gimmicky but a lot of them actually come in handy.

I've never had an iPhone but from the iPad and iPod touch I do prefer the simplicity and smoothness of iOS more. I really never customize my android phones like that.

Yes. For most mid to high end android devices, there is a rom or 10 that will suit your needs. They have some that are stock with bloatware that carriers put on but with root . Some that are stock without the bloatware. Bloatware is usually a app with your carriers name attached to it. Examples are verizon navigation, sprint navigation, att media share, you get the idea. Some people want root but don't want to lose the carrier apps and or stock feel. Some people prefer a stock look with all the crap removed. There is also roms that give you a complete factory Google experience. In other words you can have a galaxy s 2 running nexus like software this means you'll have just the essential apps like phone some Google apps like the play store maps and what not. Usually these Roms are best for speed and are highly recommended. That is the great thing about android its not locked down to what apple wants you to use. You can test out different roms and find one that works for you. Apple yes you can jailbreak but it still isn't even touching the capabilities you have with even a stock android device.

I personally do not like Android due to the numerous bugs in the software, but the SIII has piqued my intrest. While i doubt i'll ever switch from my nokia lumia line, i may end up copping an unlocked SIII just to see what all the fuss is about.

Been an iPhone/Apple stan for a few years now. Currently have the iphone 4 and for the first time ever I'm thinking about giving android a shot with the Galaxy S3 after this horrible ios6 update. I always see a few people on here biggin up Droids over iPhones and supposedly the Galaxy s3 is the best droid out.

So exactly in what ways (For The Droid Heads) does the Galaxy S3 > iPhone 5 or Androids > iPhones in general?

Well the iphone 5, isnt here yet so why not wait and use one first?

I'd prefer to wait for the new nexus in november personally but thats just me.

Android dudes refuse to accept that the average phone user doesn't want to be bothered with rooting.

I know it's "easy"...I rooted my OG Droid, and my understanding is it has gotten significantly easier since. Still, I never plan to root again. I simply don't want to be bothered with keeping up with updates and shyt.

I'm on a Galaxy Nexus now and love it. Stock and not rooted....and I love it. :ahh:
