if you are moving around a lot it's way easier to take a side photo and use the volume buttons as camera control than to try to hit the circle on the screen for the picture while in action

there's really nothing odd about it and is much more comfortable than taking a pic the regular way. gives you more stability over the phone. especially if you are taking a landscape pic.

Using the volume buttons is even more inconvineint. plus, If he used the volume buttons then he likely would've flipped the camera around and took the pic from the front, which means his face would've been in the shot or the pic would be at an forward sloping angle. Neither is the case.

If he held the phone, in ANY way, at the height that it's at, there's no way he could've even seen the picture as he was taking it. Dudes are not about to be blindly taking sex photos. We always have the phone close to the woman's body so we can see the screen, watch what were recording, and capture what's going on.
