Before people slash me up, this does shyt all for me. The Evil Dead franchise became a cult classic because of its presentation, premise and character.
From what i gathered this is heading to an uber polished rendition with more contemporary violence to it.
I guess the R rating will serve its purpose.

i don't usually do horror but man, that was genuinely scary. i cringed at the end and everything.

jesus christ next thing you know there will be a Terminator remake & an Alien remake and who knows wtf else. i thought Robocop was off limits til i recently found pout about that. at least they're not trying to PG it up for this one

apart from this one problem:
Bruce Campbell wasn't that bad ass in the first one, well he didn't look bad ass at first.
At the beginning he wasn't...that's true, we had to wait until middle of the first movie and after that it was a fukkin rollercoaster with this guy
..but this guy, in the new movie, is trash...at least in the trailer!

The lead in this one is a female. Sam Raimi is producing this remake and acknowledged that there didn't need to be a "new" Ash.
