As much as I'd like to believe this, I doubt it. Unfortunately, I don't think Black people will collectively be able to demonstrate the level of ruthlessness and blatant disregard for other groups that White people and other groups have throughout history. Too many of our people have been blinded by failed attempts at integration. Maybe I'll be surprised, but I'm not holding my breath.

I've known about this for awhile. Of course the American school system, public and private, won't teach this history. Unfortunately a lot black people don't know this and some don't care because "it happened so long ago and white people are different now." Things like this and the mass public lynchings may have happened 80-100 years ago but the perpetrators had children that watched or were told about this. Those children grew up to be the adults that you see in those black and white news clips that were attacking black people trying to integrate lunch counters and schools and bombing churches in the 50's and 60's. They're the judges, mayors, police chiefs, etc today. Their children and grandchildren are the cops, corporate CEO's, executives, doctors, etc that are your "friends" and lovers and the PAWGS some of us love today.

This is not entirely about comparing atrocities between races ,ethnicities etc. Most non whites ( but esp. Black ppl) look @ the atrocities that whites/Europeans have committed against the backdrop of claims of superiority of whites/Europeans. My history books throughout grade school always touted the 'civilization' of Europeans vs. the 'savagery' of non whites (but especially blacks/Africans) The 'White man's burden' was an entire theory that non Europeans were generally uncivilized savages that needed the 'white Man' to come & civilize them. But how is shackling & enslaving human beings esp. Women and children exceptionally 'civilized', never mind the lynchings & alligator bait shyt.
U know even now that a white male is considered less threatening & given the benefit of the doubt despite any crimes/atrocities committed by white men throughout history. DO NOT play dumb.

The thing is, to say their "ancestors" kind of lets them off the hook a bit. As we see in these pics and know from history, many of these atrocities occurred well into the 1970s. So it isn't only their ancestors but they have immediate family alive today who participated in these cruel events.
You see that gator bait toy from the 1960s and you know like white kids were playing with that. Those who were kids in the 60's are in their 50s and early 60s today. That's a lot of today's young adults and even teenagers' parents. Their grandparents were part of these horrors. Like you said, of course they're not going to discuss it. To reveal this information is to reveal these same ideologies are here today. That it is not far removed like they want to pretend.

This cannot be taught. The depravity and sadistic nature of those involved can only be in-built.
The reason why it happened and they all turned out, was because they had the freedom to perform such acts in those dark days. Take away that legal freedom, they still fantasize about it. Those with the freedom to inflict harm on Black people, i.e. cops with exercise it willfully. They have no self control over their natural instincts to maim and dismember. I dont know what is so difficult to understand.
One thing though, you will never see a psychological study conducted on the mentality of those committing such acts because they are all in on it and want to keep it hidden away.
