You said 3/3 so just in case you haven’t heard it, peep the Layover EP. It wasn’t an official album and it dropped in between Weatherman and Cats & Dogs but it’s what made me a fan in the first place.
Even though I still hope he puts Nottz and Alc and the usual suspects on his next album, I’m interested to hear what it sounds like with him producing most of it. His beats on his own projects are almost never the weakest ones and if anything are some of the doper ones. He’s an underrated producer for sure.

Really interested in what Ev has to say on this new album. Not gonna lie, his own production is hit or miss to me, but I'll give him benefit of the doubt given how much he's been improving

No doubt. He said he thinks people will really hate it or really dig it, but that at least once he’s gotta switch up from the usual formula.
Re: his beats they tend to be hit or miss with me. Like when they hit...they really hit. For example I don’t like the beat for I Don’t Need Love on his 2nd album that much. But his 2 beats on that Layover EP are 2 of the best on there.
And no matter what this dude says, he’s never gonna put out a project without dope beats. Whether it’s his own or nottz or alc or whoever. He’s pretty much known for having a good ear on his own projects so I think it’ll be dope. His albums have very few duds production wise.

Regarding his beats, you gotta peep they new Brother Ali album he produced, Secrets and Escapes. And also this new Squirrel beat tape. They both dropped this month out of the blue.Agree regarding his beats, very hit or miss

One of my favourite albums of all time
He’s leveled up majorly as a producer. He sounds like he’s truly found his own sound. He said he might be producing most if not all of his next solo album. I’ve now gone from being lukewarm on that idea to thinking it could be his most interesting project so far.
The new Ali/Evidence album and the Squirrel Tape are on steaming platforms and Lemme know if you need any links.

Same. It’s also refreshing to have a throwback to the days of artist actually being quiet in between releases and you only really hear from them when a project is coming out. It’s kind of cool to not have to see an artist promoting themselves all over social media these days.
Thankfully I don’t think he’s gonna make us wait so long this time. The new album is called Tough Crowd and it should drop next year. I think we may get another Step Brothers album too.
But I still would rather get great albums every couple years than constant mixtapes and saturation.
Overdue for another Dilated album as well to be honest. "Directors Of Photography" was a great follow up to "20/20".
last time i heard thought the peoples were on hold/limbo as far as releasing projects with DOP possibly being the final album
I may be wrong though cause otherwise you're right, it's 5 years plus since
