I swear, his voice is
I still haven't checked out anything else of his...where should I start?
start with his first album, self titled Jesse Powell. If you are a fan of mid 90's r&b you'll dig it. Album is seriously underrated and got slept on.
Breh only has 4 albums (all underrated) with 'Bout it being his most popular since it had "you" repackaged as his biggest single (smart move to add that joint again and make it a single).
my personal fav of his is his third release JP, its his best vocal performance imo. And he did a remake of Detroits own One Way's "something in the past" which is just
His 4th album Jesse is dope too and has some nice cuts, dude really came out at the wrong time, on every release of his the game was either oversaturated or the sound climate was different. You could tell a bit in his last 3 releases breh was struggling a tad to find his identity with SOME of the material, but the albums as a whole stayed true to some classic r&b shyt.
Breh always had at least 1-2 covers per album where he would flip them/add his own flavor and do them great justice as well, sometimes eveb excelling the original
Jesse is just chillin behind the scenes now.
