All the issues with this team start with the owner. I will never forget when Bomani Jones (some 4 years ago) said that the Bengals owner would hire illegals to play on his team if he could. Just off the fact that the Bengals always signed free agents who had run ins with the law because they could get them on the cheap.

Marvin Lewis has succeeded in a place where the owner runs shyt like a goodwill. shyt is like you going to work at a company and your computer is running MS Dos in 2016. Yet you are expected to do power point and excel on that computer.

That is fukking irrelevant and the problem. How can a team progress to the next level when they're still patting themselves on the back because they're better than they were over half a decade ago? Is the goal to compete for a Super Bowl or to just be better than they used to be?

Yes they are a winning team and organization, they now win far more than they lose.
Playoffs are playoffs, of course the goal is to win a title, but you can't even have the opportunity to enter the post season if you can't win consistantly and compete for your division.
Marvin has them consistantly competiting for the division and to be able to do what they did last night with a bum like McCarron and the refs. I give him massive respect.

LIke I said, folks like you are so short term orientated you miss what builds true success.
Longevity, stability, being fundamentally sound, these are things that will get you longterm success and build winning cultures.

Short term? Nikka, how long has Marv been a coach on that team? How old were you when he was hired? He has 0 playoff wins. 0.

yes short term, as when people ask what has Marvin Lewis done, with no regard for what he has actually built in Cincy..
He has been there for 13 years.
He has only had 3 losing seasons.
He has had them in the playoffs 7 of those 13 years.
He has rebuilt the team twice during his tenor, the first around Carsen and Chad, the 2nd iternation around Dalton and AJ, all the while building up and constantly maintaining a strong defense.
i was 20 when he was hired.
I remember the Boomer years and I remember how low they were after the Boomer years when they turned to absolute shyt.
So when I hear someone say something as stupid as, what have Marvin Lewis done, I can't do anything but shake my fukking head.
