WE AREN'T TALKING ABOUT HUNTING. BEARS AREN'T HUNTED OR STALKED BY ANYTHING BUT HUMANS.

IN AN OPEN FIELD DOING BATTLE. BEARS HAVE INSANE AMOUNTS OF STAMINA AND POWER. THEY SWIM AND CLIMB JUST AS WELL AS LIONS. LIONS ONLY HAVE AGILITY AND JUMPING AS AN ADVANTAGE.

BEARS CAN RUN FULL SPRINT FOR 3-4 MILES BREH. THATS 30-35 MPH FOR 3 MILES.
Lions aren't hunted or stalked either, but one thing is for sure, lions stalk, bears do not. Since neither are hunted all we can do is gauge by how THEY hunt.

and one is a much more capable attacker than the other, dealing much bigger prey. My opinion still stands.

Grizzly bears do not run for 3-4 miles. Perhaps you're referring to the brown bear? a much smaller quicker animal.

Dapped. People are ignoring stamina. Its a major part of how big cats fight. Thats why I would add Tigers as a good matchup to bears also.

I forsee bears getting gassed facing either of these two
Bears don't even have retractable claws. Notice in their fight neither clamped on to anything, not even with its bite, it's not equipped too. A lion is too quick and low to even get a swipe in, but I can assure you, once a lion gets a hold.....it's gonna be problems getting that thing of its back/neck. Those teeth and retractable claws will not let go.

The lion’s only chance is clamping on the bear’s windpipe. It’s so exposed.

Bears don't have the same instinct. Lions may be smaller, but they attack bigger animals than the Grizzy. A Grizzy would have a hard time taking down a fullly grown bull wilderbeast, a male lion does not. They hunt them strategically on a regular basis. Wear it down, then go for the neck.

A lion will honey badger a grizzy, stalk it down, wear it out, and then go for the neck.
Grizzly stamina > Lion :gucci:

Do your research.

Lion stands no chance.

i fuk with lions but one on one i dont see it taking a large grizzly/brown bear. first of all they can weigh close to 1500 lbs, which is 3 times more than a large lion. yes lions can kill much larger prey, but a buffalo isn't the same as a fukking bear. buffalo are not predators, they have different genetic drive i think. also they dont have fat layer like bears.

you are out of your mind if you think a brown bear is 1500lbs. its mostly fur that makes it LOOK big, its mostly all fur :heh:. male lions are actually the same size as brown bears.

first post goes through very detailed data
https://www.quora.com/Who-would-win-a-fight-between-a-lion-and-a-grizzly-bear

the lion has a much more powerful bite, and bigger teeth as well.

The bear may not have the tactical technique that a lion would have but they are known to take down Moose and Elk which are big game prey that are usually larger than wildebeest.

Both bears and lions are born fighters so in a battle, the bear's size and strength are gonna play the biggest factor. Even sun bears give tigers a run for their money.

Female lions do most of the hunting for a reason. Male lions aren’t good hunters, they are the clean up guys. Surely you don’t think a female lion can go toe to toe with a grizzly do you?
