She owns 49% of the company
Doesn't make her immortal. It also serves the question how much voting power on a board level does she have? If the entire board left in unison unless she has > 50% voting power they could've ousted her.

That said, a move by a board like this indicates that there's something they've already done or are doing and they don't even want to be on the minutes or disclosure associated with it. That's the smoking gun here...

Real suspicious.

The only good thing about these DNA testing companies is that they’re partially responsible for helping resolve cold murder cases.
That’s not necessarily a good thing as that means that police and law enforcement had access to those databases hence privacy concerns.

this happened one day after they presented positive phase 2 clinical results for a couple anti-cancer drugs

to me it's a straightforward case of the ceo running the company into the ground so she can buy it for the low, the same strategy henry ford used

anne wojcicki is worth more than a quarter bil, what's she care about about the short-term value of her investment in a company worth as "little" as 23andme? it has a $173 million market cap compared to ancestry's $1.4 billion.

Yeah, I wonder if serious misuse of personal info or even actual DNA samples is going to come out. Like what if they sold/gave DNA to weapons manufacturers to come up with weapons that genetically targeted specific groups of people? Or what if some dictator wanted to clone a celebrity that gave DNA for testing? Kim Jong Un gonna bust out an entire team of 5 year old Dennis Rodmans talking about "This is the future of South Korean Basketball!"

:lupe:

lmaooo selling DNA. gotcha! ayo also their methods are horseshyt. they just create the profile based on your name. no real scientific work is being conducted to break down your ethnic lineage.

that's incorrect. they're taking your DNA sample and comparing it to people around the world. whoever your dna matches with more closely, that's what you are.
