Nah. Your decision time doesn’t just get better. Your handling of the offense may. He had guys wide open and he’d wait until it was a sure thing to fire.

It’s that difference between JT and Haskins when it comes to their ability to hit a guy in stride for YAC. We will see. I hope I eat my words.
your opinion is wrong bud...:unimpressed:

You don't think decision making gets better with experience:dwillhuh:
The decisions to release does not. Baker, Haskins, and others (good and bad) are decisive and quick to release. It’s what makes them great or bad. Guys like Field, JT, Zwick just have to wait for security and I’ve not seen any of those types just change. They may start trusting in timing more and will improve on that but it takes tons of confidence and I’m just not sure I see it in Fields. May be wrong though. I hope it’s just a first game thing.

It the first game of the season breh. Can we at least give Fields a few games before making judgement if he is going to be a bust or not? Once he get more comfortable with the offense, things should improve. He only been with the team this year and is learning a new system.

Jake Fromm 9/15 for 103 yards in the 4th quarter against fukking Vandy. :mjlol: Fields in his first game has more than doubled this and he’s just getting started. And people have Georgia penciled in the playoffs with Fromm leading them. Fields and OSU looked good.

Woah fam. I didn’t call him a bust. I am saying he’s got a lot of the issues we had with JT.

We will see with better coverage by opposing teams. Very indecisive today from a throwing point.

I'm pisssed off at my dumb ass.

I specifically told @Lord Scarf that I shy away from picking Ohio State in regards to the point spread. What the fukk do I do while live betting once Ohio State goes up 28-0???? Ahhh, yes, I take OSU at -39.5

Dumb. Ass. Me:unimpressed:

Wrong about what? Every person in real life is saying the same thing. I don’t care about the stats. What he showed today is that he is hesitant on letting the ball go.
The part of you saying his decision making won't get better with experience is a horrible post. You take just about any young QB and compare their game after a couple of years and it's like watching two totally different QBs. Most have to get used to the speed of the game from HS to college then from CFB to the pros. Then get chemistry with their new teammates and learn a new playbook. Not to mention coaches tweaking their throwing mechanics and footwork on dropbacks. And you expect them to look like Heisman candidates in their 1st college start:mjtf:

When you saw Haskins the first time did you think to yourself this dude is it?

When you saw Troy smith the first time did you say this dude has it?

When you saw Terrelle Pryor did you say the same thing?

Those guys are just on another level than this guy.

I think he will win a lot of games but nothing stood out. Field has not had to stand out yet but it’s still clear he’s not confident in his arm as much as he should be.

It’s not a horrible post, Field made good decisions he’s just not confident in making the decision sooner.

If it’s due to not having a grasp of the offense yet or it’s his own mentality is the question. He had plenty times where he had good protection and ran because he waited to long to let it fly and then everyone got covered.

From what I understand it’s been plaguing him through camp as well.

We shall see  Gnight

Now I know you’re operating in recency bias. Troy didn’t start to look like “that guy” until the 2004 scUM game. Terrelle wasn’t allowed to throw much until midway through his second season starting. He had games where he threw for less than 100 yards his first year starting. So no, he didn’t show he had “it” the first time we saw him other than we saw he was a freak generational athlete. Justin literally just set the record for most TDs in his first game ever and you think others showed more the first time we saw them? That’s literally not possible given what Justin did and what the others you mentioned did. Comparing Justin’s passing to Dwayne is crazy and everyone has continued to say is crazy. He’s the best passer in the history of the Big Ten, so no, Justin was not that in his first game. But again, from what I saw, I’m very happy about what’s to come from him and this offense this season.

Many Ohio state fans knew Troy was that guy from the onset. It was clear he was better than Zwick who put up good stats in his first game. However it was just clear Troy was better and had the it factor. Made quick to decisions to run or throw) mostly he ran but the fact of the matter was he was quick on the decision.
