It just shows how tiny the rest of the world is to Africa.
It is? Most people aren't aware of this and no effort is made to correct it or clarify in most cases. This is not something being told to kids you must have just had a good teacher.

if you want an accurate picture of the world then you do.

we are discussing the representation of the Earth in a visual form.
the globe is the best representation but it is not the one most people reference.
oceans are 70% of the globe's surface so of course we need to take that into consideration as much as the land masses.
please restate your post in a manner that i can understand.

i did not understand the distortion of the flat map until a few years ago.
it blew my mind.
i understand why it is done that way and i understand how it can be construed as a tool of subjugation.
fact of the matter is that the way the flattened map is viewed gives a false view of the world as it really is.

how many people look at that distorted view of the world and superimpose it over various global or personal ideas?
