to play devil advocate- what does DB do really well to you? considering he was the 14th pick?
Outside of being our best pass rusher, he runs down plays from behind as well as BG in his prime ever has. He is faster off the edge than I realized when we drafted him. He is definitely stronger against the run than I anticipated, I actually thought he would be some what of a liability there. He has played chess with some of the better tackles in the league and been able to successfully set them up and use counter moves later in a drive or later in the game. That says to me that he isn't just a head down reckless type of rusher. He is a cerebral one, which bodes well for when he hits his prime.
Given that I didn't expect the world of him, even at pick 14, same as BG, he has far exceeded my expectations just like BG eventually did. If we had picked him at #4 though... he would be just a good prospect who doesn't have the numbers to match what's on tape.
And I'm glad you had me type that so I could miss that bullshyt Parker touchdown on 4th and fukking 4. Don't even know if I made a coherent point because I'm listening to this shyt as I typed and just getting pissed off more and more.
EDIT: Though when it comes to defensive linemen, I seem to always give them more credit than others. I did the same with BG while people were saying he was a complete bust who was too short, too light and had t-rex arms.
