I’m ready. Unsatisfying hollow Sundays of worthless pursuits like spending time with my child are behind me.
I feel this season as always will come down to the lines. Brandon Brooks and Derek Barnett’s health is key. Very optimistic about the secondary. Only thing I don’t like is how much preseason hype we’re getting.

I’m thinking the Redskins game is going to be all about the trenches, and it’ll be a good test for a new Eagles offense. The Redskins are loaded up front on the defensive line with Jonathan Allen, Da’Ron Payne, Matt Ioannidis, Ryan Kerrigan, and Montez Sweat. I don't worry too much about Jason Peters, Isaac Seumalo, Jason Kelce, or Lane Johnson. The RG spot is going to be interesting to watch. If Brooks makes it back, is he 100% or is he rusty from missing so much time? And if Brooks doesn't make it back, then can Vaitai bring his good preseason performance into the regular season?

Same for the defensive line. Redskins will not have Trent Williams at LT and they’re starting Ereck Flowers at LG, so there’s a vulnerability there. But the Eagles are returning starters Fletcher Cox, Nigel Bradham, and Derek Barnett from injury and it’s not a guarantee they’re going to be at 100% (if they all even play). No Michael Bennett, no Chris Long, so the Eagles need good performances from Barnett and Vinny Curry.
