Just a quick update to those who were interested in this topic, yesterday were the local elections here in Belgium and as expected Flemish separatists won in various places in Flanders, including Antwerp (Flander's biggest city and its "real" capital). There they got 37 % of votes. It's leader said it's a "Black and Yellow day" (the colours of Flanders) and has already called on French-speaking political leaders to start working on a next state reform (we just had one last year already giving more autonomy to Regions) in order to instaure Confederalism. So they are very much on their way towards independence.

For info, Extreme-right (Vlaams Belang) still got 10 %, meaning half of Antwerp voted for separatists and extreme-right, whose common point is "Frech-speakers do it wrong, we (Flemish) do it right". Extreme-right lost 23 % (yes, they had 33 % in 2006) and indeed most of those lost votes went to N-VA, which is an "acceptable" vote.
