What they do different?

for one, they have to know how to read the game, they spend hour reviewing film and players/playing styles..(every team/area/league has a different style of play) They have to know how to cope with tactical and technical differences, and the other teams manager might adjust there formation (ex 4-4-2 to 3-5-2 formation) decide to play a posession game like barcelona, or counter attack style like USA, or offsides traps, and the manager has to know how to quickly adjust to things like this from the other teams manager, as well as know when to pick his style to break down opponent at the same time..... Coaches also have it more stressful..you can lose your job in less than a month if your team loses just a few games...baseball, I dont really know the sport, so unlike you I am not going to knock the coaches responsibilities..

This is an argument that would make sense if Lebron was an old school tall big. the fact of the matter is, he is the new kind of athlete. Huge, Strong, fast. he is a physical specimen. 20 years ago he would have been a crappy slow power forward. but Lebron can play point guard. thats why that old argument of "tall and slow" just does not work in the case of lebron.

Think forward. you would be the guy back in the 70s thinking "no way a big man can shoot from the outside or have handles!"
