Im sorry but height does come in to play in soccer. Corner kick, then you get dwight howard to head butt that ball in the net everytime. and again, why would height be a detractor? thats fool talk. in the NBA back in the day people thought big men could do nothing but stand next to the basket. Now you got big men with handles raining threes. Why could that not happen in soccer? big ass feet, more ball control.

Your right about the first bolded I didnt factor that in but if you got hops like Nate Robinson then it helps to negate the height factor. The second bolded is not necessarily a give. Having big feet doesnt necessarily mean you'll have more ball control, by comparison in the NBA Rondo attributes his big hands being the reason why his shooting is so poor.

The argument isnt whether anyone can play soccer its what attributes are more beneficial for a soccer player and being tall and big (like an NFL athlete or Lebron James) really won't help you unless you're a goalie. I edited my post before you quoted me and ill reiterate what I added being Nate Robinson (small, quick, athletic) is better than being Dwight Howard (big, strong, athletic) in soccer.

You arent factoring in that teams arent built around one prototype of player. This Barcelona team has a core of super midgets, but they till have guys like Puyol and Pique, and even Busquets who are tall and physically imposing.

Nate may be better at dribbling but he wouldnt be very useful from dead ball situations....whereas Dwight would be a great asset to have in that type of situation. Or a target man Lebron, holding up play as a striker and knocking down long balls. Its all about making use of your body type to fit your style of play. Lebron would have all the physical attributes needed to be a world class striker. There are world class players over 6 feet.

this is why I say if soccer was the #1 sport in the US we would dominate every country...imagine if the entire NFL played soccer let alone add in all the NBA players

This has to be the most vague posting I seen on the coli to date. Most countries outside of usa eat sleep and live this sport. What makes you think that America would dominate, I saw the other posting about jerry rice, ali, and lebron etc, they are masters of the sport they chose, it was a gift from god, a natural talent, it doesnt mean they would be good at this sport even if they trained their whole life..Just because you are american doesnt grant a "the best pass". I love United States as a country but it doesnt mean that they are automatically best at everything, they cant even make good cars and they started this car thing.

But dude. Lebron is as fast as anybody and jumps higher than anybody. what benefit does nate robinson ever have on lebron?

lets imagine lebron and nate were both soccer greats. Id imagine itd be quite hard to steal the ball from Lebron being that he is a monster species he just needs to use his body to guard the ball. and he'd probably kick that shyt at 150 mph

:mindblown:Lebron does not have the any of the physical attributes needed to be a world class striker..not quick enough, not nimble enough, its almost like ali said frazer would have moved like a mummy against him...Tall strikers like peter crouch, or Ibrahimovic have a totally different body structure.

Lebron is the next evolution of man. Its not a fair comparison. That is how some of our grandkids will look like.

Scientists will call them homo lebronectus with Lebron being the first in the species :krs:

more points id like to make. On defense a team thats like 6'5" and taller is never gonna get scored on.

imagine this, a free kick against a team full of NBA athletes. you know how in soccer they build that human wall? good luck kicking around/over that.

and the wingspans. i guess in soccer leg-spans matter???? i guess not cause everyone short. but imagine lebron has ball control in soccer. he could probably do some devastating soccer crossovers lol.
