You wont get deported if you are a qualified professional with a college degree, dont be stupid.
They are deporting folks that came over illegally or on a makeshift raft like elian gonzalez.

You very well can get deported if you're a qualified professionnal with a college degree. Most non-Western degrees are not recognized in Europe so you might as well not have anything.
Plus don't forget the unemployment crisis in Europe. They ain't trying to give a job to Abdou when Stéphane can't find one.
Anyways why would anyone think that aid came for free
that's has NEVER been the case, never will be. Used to be that aid was only "given" if this or that bs IMF structural reform was carried out (dismantling hospitals and schools 
). Then it was human rights and democracy. For a brief moment it was women and gay rights. Now it's this. Whole EU policy has been about creating conditions in the home country that would lead Africans NOT want to leave, because once they leave and are in the Meditteranean it becomes a EU issue, whether they like it or not. Very different situation than say the US, Canada or Australia.
@ anyone thinking aid is given out of the goodness of hearts and charity. Its another form of propaganda in order to make yourself look great to the populace and government and the be able to gain political clout in said country. Hey, I can't hate, if I ran a country I would do it too if I had the money 
. Its loan sharking basically. Make them dependent and then you can use it as a way to dictate to them in the future. Though in the cases of Pakinstan and Israel for example, you have to question if it is even effective anymore. Though in both cases, if the US presented a realistic chance of removing aid, they probably would shyt their pants big time so maybe it does allow some control.
To be honest, you open yourself up to abuse and exploitation when your come to rely on essentially your enemies. Blacks should not let whites have any sort of dictation of their destiny, and making your country ultra-reliant on western aid allows this control to happen. Self-sufficiency and independence is a must.Holding an entire continent hostage

But I feel like all these other countries are dug in so deep within Africa, that it will make it nigh impossible to get away from them.
If they were to take even small steps it seems those efforts would be crushed asap. So I wonder how they could go about it (if they even wanted to)
