You very well can get deported if you're a qualified professionnal with a college degree. Most non-Western degrees are not recognized in Europe so you might as well not have anything.

). Then it was human rights and democracy. For a brief moment it was women and gay rights. Now it's this.
Whole EU policy has been about creating conditions in the home country that would lead Africans NOT want to leave, because once they leave and are in the Meditteranean it becomes a EU issue, whether they like it or not. Very different situation than say the US, Canada or Australia.
