New PM is Welayta , they're an even smaller minority. The Tigray are smart, perfect front man to make it appear as though they aren't monopolizing rule but he won't touch their power base.

@All this Amhara hatin, and yall know damn well Ehadig's whole angle was for Tigrays to take the sphere of influence from the Amharas and do the same shyt we did. TPLF's rise was shady as fukk and they dropped the ball on taking back Eritrea before so they been on the tip just to keep that dream of a all Tigray state alive. The tribal politics are divisive, the only good thing that piece of shyt Mengistu did was operate on a more nationalist type platform. But I'm hip, the more the tribes of Ethiopia beefin and wanting "independence" the better it is for the surrounding countries.

Edit: I hope the country stays stable tho, my peoples too old to be escaping mayhem like they did in them Derg days.

Amharas don't have the numbers Oromos do, but they have the money and influence. Put it like this, Amharas and Tigrays were the powerful kings and rases of the highlands. That Solomonic line that Haile Selassie comes from is mostly Amhara/Tigray.

I'll give Meles this, while I don't agree with the tribal politics it also gave a voice to more people. I can't say it's created full blown equality in the country but at least the more obscure and at-risk tribes are being noticed and being given a chance to better their situation. Better than what Mengistu or the Emperor were doing.
