Melez even as messed up as he was did alot of good for ethiopia, he comes from a minority group called tigray and he recognized that ethiopia had to make ethnic federal states to calm down tension after he ousted the dictator mengistu. now the amahara dont believe in ethnic states just one ethiopia preferably that goes beyond the recognized borders (no eritrea, djibouti and somalia), all that under their rule. fortunately they're too disorganized to take power. looks like few more decades for tigray people liberation front.
