At the beginning of mean streets
Impressive. I use Ethiopia Airlines when I travel internationally and it is always great. When we flew over Addis Ababa the skyline was beautiful and I saw constant light in the buildings. I cant say the same when I landed in Lagos to a dirt runway and complete darkness. Nigeria needs to be dissolved.

Hopefully the Oromo get their independence and fukk Ethiopia. Ethiopia is a ticking time bomb.
:sas1:

Independence from what? They’re just as Ethiopian as anyone else. Not to mention, much of their lands are lands that they historically invaded and violently assimilated into their orbit. But nevermind that, doesn’t fit the extremist’s bullshyt victim narrative and their shameless swagger jacking of BLM/Civil Rights movement.

I see you’re eager for a giant Rwandan genocide situation huh? :sas2:

Oromo people don't have their own land that's why despite being the largest ethnic group in Ethiopia. There are lands within Ethiopia that doesn't belong to them in the first place. It's just a colonial project created by the British. That's why Eritrea had to go.

Lol, can you cite your sources?

How do Oromos not have their own land when they have a semi-autonomous state where they use their own language, practice their customs, and have generally been allowed to do as they wish even to the point of allowing for some in their community to spread hate speech? When the government tried to expand Addis, Oromos rightfully protested because they didn’t want it. And not only was it stopped, but that movement ended up putting an Oromo into power. So I’m failing to understand where the oppression is at. There needs to be more cultural pluralism and a more expanded definition of what an Ethiopian is, but outside of that what leg do Oromo extremists have to stand on?

Also, you’ve yet to answer to how Oromos are such victims when their history includes their expansion out of northern Kenya and southern Ethiopia into the modern areas now claimed? How about the many tribes that went extinct or were forcibly assimilated into the Oromo tribe? Don’t see none of y’all shedding the same crocodile tears that you do for your overblown “struggle”. Should Somalis and Habashas cry also because you encroached in their lands in the 15th/16th century during their weakest points following a violent war (Abyssinian-Adal wars), do you even know about all this?

Funny how you refer to the British when they wanted to dismantle the whole Ethiopian state post-WWII and turn it into a bunch of British protectorates and were prevented from doing so by the Americans and Ethiopian lobbying. So your assertion about it being a British experiment of some sort grossly ignores that simple fact of history. That actual British ambition of splitting Ethiopia is part of where the TPLF got their idea of “Greater Tigray” from in the first place. You know? The same TPLF that introduced this ethnic-based politics which supposedly victimized Oromos in the first place only for them to adopt the same style of politics. Funny how this dubious attempt at revolutionary change looks much more like the petulant cries of a few Oromo extremists thirsty for power. Just like with the TPLF.

Oh, and if you can actually explain how Eritrea and Ethiopia fell out in the first place I’ll actually be impressed. Because I highly doubt you’ve even read much regarding that subject. I’ll wait, I’m sure Jawar bytch ass has premade answers for colonized miseducated negroes like you...:sas2:

I hope Ethiopia conquers Egypt

fukk that. Take back Yemen while they're at it

Lol, that’d bring about thousands of years of genetic memory since that was always the struggle of the Nile (Egypt vs Ethiopia). But nah the Saudis can keep their mess in Yemen. Just give us back Socotra island and send us the Black Yemenis that comprise the old Axumite diaspora, that island in particular was East African turf for centuries and a vital stop for Abyssinian and Somali traders going eastbound. It’s roughly 200 miles from the tip of the Horn but over 300 miles away from Yemen. fukk that, give us Africans (Somalis in particular) our island back. :shaq2:

That shyt will always be a tragedy to me. Family killing family like that after many Eritreans struggled against Fascist Italy to be reunited with Ethiopia. But I understand why many wanted to leave. Things weren’t handled properly and having already been through colonization so many times they figured it’s better to have self determination than go through the myriad of political episodes that happen in ET. Even still, my maternal side is Eritrean so all the maps include Eritrea in my moms home.

I’ll be honest, I would’ve rather let Isaias take all of Ethiopia if it meant it never split with Eritrea. But generally, my view of Ethiopia is kinda radical in general. I think more along the lines of Regional-Statehood and my belief is that the current political entity that is Ethiopia is just a tiny piece of the real Ethiopia (East Africa). That’s why I agree with the Oromo protesters in certain respects, “Ethiopia” and “Ethiopianism” is incorrectly credited to a tiny few when if you look at ancient history, the civilization was started by various migrations of Bantu, Nilotic, Cushytic, and Semitic peoples. So to me, it seems silly to bog the name and identity down to such a small definition when originally it was much broader and grander than it is today.

Speaking of Egypt

Egypt Reportedly Working on Military Base in Somaliland

Egypt does not seem to be stopping to toil for getting a military foothold somewhere near Ethiopia. This time it is Somaliland. The news of latest attempt came soon after failure of alleged attempt to distablize Ethiopia internally through the agency of local non-state actors.

July 20, 2020

Egypt has approached Somaliland with the aim to set up a military base. A report by Somaliland Standard on Saturday said that an Egyptian delegation has met with Somaliland President, Musa Bihi Abdi. The two sides have discussed the proposal, according to the source.

However, the report did not say if Somaliland has nodded or declined for the Egyptian proposal. What is known is that the two sides have an agreement “on exchange of high level representation offices in Hargeisa and Cairo.”

If Somaliland accepts the proposal, said the source, it will get recognition from Egypt which it sees as a passport for recognition of a bunch of Arab League Members.

It also sees Egypt’s approach to get a military foothold in Somaliland as a response to Somalia for “siding with Ethiopia” over GERD dispute.

Last month, there was a rumor that Egypt attempted to secure a military base in South Sudan – news that the latter dismissed as a baseless one. South Sudanese Ambassador to Ethiopia, H.E. James P. Morgan, told Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedu Andargachew that “his country will not do anything that would harm Ethiopia.”

Egypt and Ethiopia failed to reach an agreement over the filling and operation of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

Heavy rain received last week in the country helped start the filling of the dam while the negotiation between the three countries is expected to continue.
