To be fair West side of the story is that Estee chose the beat and gave the OK to West that everything had been worked out with the producer. But i’d think that as the EXECUTIVE PRODUCER West would’ve made sure the business was handled beforehand. The producer is claiming he had no idea the beat was used until the project dropped.

Seems like a case of miscommunication rather than WG deliberately attempting to be shady but it seems the industry has an attitude of “These lowly beat makers should be grateful for the look rather than getting paid” and thats bullshyt.
