IMO if you follow some sort of criteria this isn’t THAT hard, at least to get the tiers right. The real list:
Tier 1: multiple chips as a #1
1. Bron
2. Shaq
3. Duncan
4. Kobe
5. Steph
Tier 2: 1 chip as a #1 (KD on GS always hard to judge but he’s in here)
6. Jokic
7. Giannis
8. KD
9. Wade
10. Dirk
11. KG
12. Kawhi
Tier 3: no chip but MVP
13. Harden
14. AI
15. Nash
16. Westbrook
17. Embiid
Tier 4: 2 way all timers pause
18. AD
19. Dwight Howard
20. Cp3
21. Kidd
Tier 5: Finals MVPs
22. Paul Pierce
23. Tony Parker
Tier 6: Finals appearance as a #1
24. Luka
25. Jimmy Butler (Jimmy also has 2-way status)
Imo the top 23 can’t be debated bc they all have some type of significant individual accolade outside of all stars/all nba. And you need that bc every guy on the list is an all star/all nba; you gotta have something tangible. So Pao, Ray, Manu come off bc they don’t have that. Draymond has a DPOY but doesn’t bring enough offensively. Others in the running who don’t have it: Klay, Lillard, Bosh, Webber. One could argue tier 6 could be scoring title. Melo has 1 but so does Luka. Tmac has 2 so he’s right there also. But Jimmy with 2 carry jobs to get to the finals puts him over them
