It's not but he did play with Penny, Nick and Eddie, Kobe, and Wade. He had the talent around him, as well as within him obviously, to challenge Russell's ring total and make it so that it wasn't even a discussion.
Lol Nobody in modern times could ever challenge Russell's ring total. I don't think that's fair.

How about the fact that if they ever played against each other Russell's coaches would be screaming " Send Help! Double! Double down when Shaq catches it!":bryan:

Ok he played both positions. That's why I said he could've been on the pg list. Same thing with lebron.

You can't put players like that in a box. Penny played SG too. He just had point guard skills despite his size. But True pgs typically can't start at the SF position and destroy someone like Pippen. Or posterize 7 foot centers on a nightly basis.

Penny was a great SF who could play the pg position very well. That's why he's top ten.
NO!!

He was a great PG who could slide to SG or SF if need be.

Go look at what he was listed at and played from HS to the Pro's. He was a PG and he or anybody that played with him will tell you that.

TYRONE GA!
McGrady is more of a shooting guard. Plus there's no way they're going to put Grant hill on that list. Here we go anyway

1) Lebron James
2) Scottie Pippen
3) Larry Bird
4) Elgin Baylor
5) Dr J
6) Kevin Durant
7) Domique Wilkins
8) James Worthy
9) Carmelo Anthony
10)

Scottie over Bird?

Nobody in modern times has played with kind of talent or had Shaq's potential either. Obviously 11 rings is extreme but there is no good reason why Shaq doesn't have 7 or 8. And if he did, nobody would be putting Russell over him.

What's not fair is comparing a guy with access to modern nutrition and training to a guy who didn't. Now that said, Shaq would be a beast in any era. Russell held his own against Wilt who was Shaq in his era (Wilt still got his no doubt) and Shaq wouldn't do shyt to stop him on the other end. We gonna act like Shaq didn't lose to squads (usually in a sweep mind you) that featured Ben Wallace, Luc Longley, Greg Ostertag, a flabby D. Rob at center without the coach yelling the bolded and without him putting up Wilt numbers?

Not sure about the bold:patrice:.

Could shaq have won a couple more? Maybe

But even if Shaq didn't quite max out his potential( I think he did. It's hard to recover from injury when you're that big) Who in the fukk would want prime Russell on their team ahead of prime Shaq:mjlol:

Breh go back and look at Shaq's squads and then tell me a superstar player today that has had that kind of talent.

Shaq had the potential to be the GOAT. If we are going off what he could have been, then you don't take anybody over him. If we go by what actually happened, he left the door open for others with inferior potential.

Nique was always more "power" to me. Plus I never really watched him play.:manny:

Only on the Coli nikkas seem to forget penny was Lebron before Lebron except with a reliable jump shot and exceptional post game :snoop:
Penny wasn't a sf. Maybe he played there once he was washed but homie was a pg on his prime.

The 6
KD at 4 is premature. He's a great scorer but hasn't done enough yet to be ranked that high.
