Good move for Toronto. Not to hate but I doubt he gets that 270 million. I don't see him making an all NBA team. Talent pool is just too deep

this is one of those “we need somebody to sell jerseys and put butts in seats” kind of deals. Barnes is not a difference maker for a team with championship aspirations.
He’s only 22, so it’s a bit unfair to put those expectations and aspirations on him already.

You should expect him to grab at least a 3rd team. With the Injury clause 65 game minimum and position-less voting All NBA teams are more easy to attain now than ever before.

If they tank again for the 2025 draft he wont have a chance at all NBA...

He got his bag, now he must take the next step. He’s gotta refine his jumpshot so he can be a more reliable threat. A lot of times I forget a big his frame is pause, the bully ball and high energy stuff works but this is the 3pt era and you gotta score more 3’s instead of scoring around the rim all the time. He reminds me a lot of Jabari Parker when he was healthy and balling on the Bucks. A fine player but is really just the 3rd option.
