I can't watch that if it's not an actual game. The personalities are almost all uniformly annoying, the music they play during the highlights highly irritates me also.

It's bad enough they're the #1 cause of the increases of cable/satellite bills the past few years.

30.for 30 but that's Simmons

Besides that...shyt is basura bro

Sportscenter the first 20.minutes is about some scandal
-Brett favre retires /send dikk pics
-NCAA player accepts #4 from McDonalds
-tiger/saints/coach has sex with someone

10 mins of highlights

Then a 15 minute heartbreaking story of a kid
With an incurable disease but an unbreakable spirit

Unwatchable

:laff: yea they piss me off with there TMZ style approach to sports reporting.
and those sob stories are the wost, I'm like save that shyt for OTL or E:60, why do they have to try to include that in with sportscenter. This waht they need to do since they have like for channels why not spread that stuff out on other channels. like sportscenter should only show the UN biased highlights, save all that drama and off the field stuff for their other shows. All off the field related stuff should have its own show, and those "in depth" (over anlysis) should be saved for that sports own show, NFL, NBA tonight etc....

Cowherd's tangents and attempts to relate every topic to a cultural or social issue is the most ridiculous shyt ever. I've heard him equate east coast and west coast teams work ethics to the acceptable business entire in each region. Not to mention when he said Wall could not lead a team because he didn't have a father in his life.

Yea he be reaching to make his points, but sometimes I agree with him. he is really just trying to be controversal he even says it on his show.

NFL Network or NBATV:manny:

Only time I tune into ESPN is for games...

NFL network covers football wwwwaaaaayyyy better than espn, but nba tv on the other hand if its not the tnt crew doing the highlights its almost unwatchable. but I will say espn presentation for nba games is terrible and why do they keep letting that female commentate?

I don't get this. I'm not talking shyt, but how? Cause he doesn't go into super theatrics? He has good insights. Sometimes his interviews can get cheesy with certain folks, but he's good on that front. The sports are supposed to be the entertainment not the journalists. That's what wrong with ESPN

I can see why he said that...DP does come off sometimes as a douchey, pretentious jerkoff...he'll praise guys he like for certain things but if it's someone he doesn't like, he'll go off on some holier than thou rant

I don't think ESPN is even trying to reach real sports fans. I think they figure they have those people by default because there really isn't much competition. They use clowns like Cowherd, Skip, or Stephen A to bring in an audience they wouldn't have otherwise. All three of those idiots are fake as fukk on that network.

Yeah most of the guys you listed dont believe half the shyt they say they do it for effect and for shock value..

Then you have contrived arguments from two guys where they tell each guy to take a different stance

Yeah, people get mad at those guys but they have to realize that the people on ESPN aren't there because they're sports fanatics that just want a podium to share their sports views, they're people that are playing a role and trying to get paid.

When I lived near Sacramento, I remember seeing one of the local media guys around town and in nicer words, I essentially asked him why he was always on Chris Webber's nuts so hard. He proceeded to rip the shyt out of Webber for about 5 minutes :krs: The bullshyt he did on the air was all an act.

It's the same thing with Cowherd. He'll ignorantly rip some random player or random team to make people mad so they'll tune in to his show on Monday to try to hear him backtrack. That listener is watching the game on Sunday and seeing all of Cowherd's viewpoints get flushed, and he's got the :smugdraper: face. Meanwhile, Cowherd is probably spending the day at a street fair and won't even know/care what happened in the game until he checks the box score before his show the next morning.

I cosign this to da FULLEST. Skip's a bitter old fakkit who projects his own anger at his failed attempts at sports onto those who can actual perfom, Stephen A. is a tap dancin c00ntastic banshee and that Michele Beadle comes across as an aging extremely cynical lonely bytch who hasn't gotten laid in a long ass time.

yeah she do come off like some bitter old hag on that show
