The NFL is dying. NBA and MLB gang we finally beat them :blessed: :lolbron:

If you missed the second half of this week’s ESPN Monday Night Football doubleheader, you weren’t alone.

The game, which featured the Arizona Cardinals hosting the Los Angeles Chargers exclusively on the streaming platform ESPN+, drew fewer than 2 million average viewers. That makes it the least-viewed NFL game since 2008, according to Sports Business Journal and Pro Football Talk.

PFT reported an audience of around 1.8 million average viewers, which SBJ indicated was “relatively accurate.” Either way, we’re talking MLB viewership here for the almighty NFL.

The Real Titletown
NFL has no juice on social media or anywhere else on the internet for that matter. Leave that to the NBA.

You can stick to pandering to middle aged MAGA boomers and Swifties. :lolbron:

:mjlol:.

They put up record numbers on Peacock last year. This game was between two teams not many care about right now and going on at the same time as another NFL game.

The Yay
to be fair cardinals/chargers is prolly the worst matchup you can ever get at this point in the season

cards have no fans outside of arizona. they a local team that rarely see success
chargers have no fans period and their home games are full of opposite teams fans

and to top it off it was a low scoring game which is what Harbs does

Only person I know who was dumb enough to get ESPN+ is my dad, for MMA lmao. And he can barely get that shyt to work. I clown him for that every time I see him.
:russ:

The greed and overreach is mind blowing. I get that the NFL feels like they'd rather play around with 1-2 games a week with these shytty streaming services instead of putting them at 1PM or 4PM EST but man...it's wack. Seems like from a pure $$$ perspective the better move would be to get a game on ABC at 4PM. Basically I want to go back to the days when you consistently got two 1PM games and two 4PM games. Now of days you just get one of each. Football is king, why not take advantage by getting it on network TV as much as possible instead of wasting games on apps. I'm sure the Netflix contract money is nice but I'd rather have 15mil people watching on ABC at 4PM. Especially in an era where the Cowboys are about to be trash? Miss me with that America's game of the week shyt...give me another option.
