Edif-Actually looking at the entire game schedule on Thursday, the only other game in nighttime slot was Philly/Portland and they play at 7 instead of 7:30. I'll give them a pass, they had no choice

SNF is where it is because dikk Ebersol knows how to produce TV. Meanwhile ABC to this day would rather show celebrity ballroom dancing than ever reconsider getting MNF back. ABC wasn't interested in moving around or pre-empting their TV lineup for football they didn't want. Remember, back then ESPN had SNF, and ABC already didn't wanna keep MNF (without ESPN, MNF woulda probably been an NFL Network exclusive).

It's funny how they complaining about subscription declining when (as of a few years ago) they were getting the most money per subscription that wasn't a premium channel (HBO, Showtime, etc). ESPN was getting like $5 and change per subscription. Premium channels get like $11 per subscription. It's them paying all that money in NFL & NBA deals than it is the on air talent salaries that's costing them

Wow that is fukking terrible who the fukk is determining these weekday national tv slots. They had Dallas and Minnesota slotted for a Friday game after the break but thankfully they put Boston vs Toronto on. Who really thought a game involving Dallas and Minnesota was worthy of being on national TV? Lakers/Suns isn't even deserving of being on Spectrum Sportsnet let alone TNT I might just tune in to hear Barkley crush everyone for showing that shyt.
