The games :yeshrug: Yall live for the highlights and iso buckets, that's not always good basketball :francis: Mitchell leads the Jazz's offense, that's great and it's a big load for a rookie, but it's not like it's leading to good offensive production by any means :manny:

He's also nowhere near Simmons on the defensive end and contributing in ways other than just buckets

You are talking out your a$$

Ben was routinely matched up against weak offensive players...DM defended his position all season & was ranked top 10 overall just like BS was. DM projects as the better defender long-term...that was his rep coming into the draft last yr

Top 10 in what? Mitchell's a good defender, Simmons is unquestionably better. You wanna talk rankings, Simmons has a noticeably better DRPM and their DBPMs aren't even in the same ballpark. Ben Simmons had 16 points for All-Defense, Mitchell got 1. Simmons is elite because he guards multiple positions, he can switch onto anyone, and is very disruptive. He forces a lot of deflections and turnovers.

Why are we going off draft rep right now? They're both in the league, we've seen them. Ben Simmons has more defensive upside, but that's not even the point of what we're talking about I don't know why you're bringing in long term projects :usure:

Mitchell's gonna be a big star in this league, but cats love overrating him :mjlol: act like points are everything no matter how inefficient they may be :heh:
Acting like Mitchell is a better player than Gobert itt :dahell:
Mitchell was great against OKC, but he was garbage against Houston. We conveniently forget that, but everyone seems well aware of how bad Simmons was against Boston while forgetting that he put up 18/10.6/9/2.4 despite the Sixers shooters around him playing like shyt, and Embiid missing several games against a very good Miami defense that specializes in scheming out specific players and was totally game planned for him.

Ben was better in these playoffs. Not much better, but he was better :yeshrug:

Yall like to call out other website's narratives when they don't fit yours

Mitch had 3 games in the post season that resonated wayyyy more than anything Ben Simmons was able to muster.

Please knock me over with the Ninja Turtles Stats though

Ben is a 6’10 Rondo who won’t maintain the same block or steal rate

The only defensive metric that matters is def rtg

Meanwhile, Sixers guards struggled against quick guards...b-b-b-b-but Ben’s a PG...well have him defend Dame, Russ, Curry, Beard, Kyrie, Wall, etc for 4 quarters

On 36% shooting

Against Boston Simmons averaged 14ppg 8rpg 6apg 1spg and 1bpg on 48% shooting.

And he was a liability that series

#s only tell apart of the story...BS was horrible against Boston but he got his counting stats so all is right in the world

1st two games of the playoffs without Embiid Simmons had 17, 14, and 9 and 24, 9, and 8. Game 3 he had 19, 12, and 7. Game 4 he had 17, 13 and, 10, and game 5 he had 14, 10 and, 6. He averaged 18, 10 and 9 for the series.

How did Donovan Mitchell do anything that resonated wayyyy more than that, as you put it?

He was a liability. So was Donovan Mitchell against the Rockets, anyone who shoots 36% for an entire series is hurting their team.

Game 1 he was -15 (worst on the team)
Game 2 +13
Game 3 -31(worst on team)
Game 4 -6
Game 5 -3
And again on 36% shooting, he was also a liability.

That's not how DRtg works breh :francis:
It's not meant to be extrapolated across teams like that because it's relative to the team itself.

I don't know why we're saying he can't maintain his STL%+BLK% when his BLK% isn't great and he posted a great STL% at LSU as well.
