one of the dudes who beat Denny down was on the VH1 doc, and he STILL will not apologize for that shyt.

They showed him on Donahue with Denny there and he said "aight I'm sorry. Y'all happy now? :stopitslime:"
One of the guys apologized but still said he wouldn't do anything different if given a second choice.

There were definitely similar and probably more successful movements and activists back then but just like now with BLM - eventually people move on to something else and the momentum slows down.

Yea. Plus no internet/social media back then so movements couldn't really take off quick and spread like today. And I guess people just saw what was happening then as an LA thing. Meanwhile it's happening everywhere over the past 20+ years. Same cycle of people getting mad rioting protesting and news coverage etc... Forgetting about it, then moving on
