Not only ruin him from a professional standpoint but more importantly from a physical one. You put an inexperienced pro like Spence in there with a Porter or Thurman before he's ready & that could ruin him mentally with his confidence or from physically taking a beating from those fighters. He needs to be matched against someone that'll give him some adversity but not possibly overmatch him. I told people after One Time fought Ghost that his chin would be ruined & in his next fight he gets dropped & nearly stopped from a non puncher.

I'm not totally against what you're saying, however, he and every young fighter can be ruined physically and mentally no matter what level of opposition they face. It can be against a lesser, equal, or more experienced opponent, the bottom line is there's a risk regardless. He doesn't seem like one of those fighters that need a lot of time, he's a mature fighter and besides, there have been champions without a lot of experience. Look at "Pretty Boy" Vasyl Lomachenk, his career is my point to your post. To each his own. I feel E Money Bags is ready.

@patscorpio give some input on this bruh

im all for young fighters wanting to face tough competition..to me that shows they're about that boxing life...but its fighter's management job to keep that all in check...so no fernando vargas type shyt occur...being taken out of prime by 22-23 by brutal fight(s) keith is not no big bad monster but he's somebody a young fighter like spence shouldn't just jump head first into...keith has sent 2 ex champions into retirement and 3rd on a one way trip to bushes, USA..he is a dangerous fighter...and the risk will only increase with inexperience..my thing is spence can up his competition but not like going zero to 100..he'll get there soon enough

Spence really looking for a beating I see :porter:

I commend him for wanting these fighters, but he should slow down a bit. No need to rush him so quickly. You run a big risk of damaging him long term. I mean, look what happened to David Reid :porter:

I'd like to see Spence in there with a mid level guy 1st before I put him in there with the top guys. Give him a Lopez or Cano or Soto Karass type of fighter next :yeshrug:

My thoughts exactly. Fighting Thurman now could take years off this guys career when it looks like he has a bright future ahead of him. He needs to face some mid-level guys that'll put him through some adversity. Thurman isn't someone you wanna eat shots from for 12 rounds (if it lasts that long). Ghost was too tough for his own good & now look at him.

he'll beat both those guys, thurman gets hit too much and spence has a dynamic type of power,
also the danger of thurman's punches greatly decreases after the first four rounds from what I've seen from him

I think spence can take him, he's not getting get better fighting bums he can bulldoze without thinking too much

then again if porter can fight n struggle with bone(16-1) recently........:patrice:

errol beat hoskins faster(1rdko) on 4/5/2013 than keith(3rdko) on 5/5/2012. not that it means much, but they do have a common opponent in a comparable time frame.:patrice:

i might have to rethink this shyt..........................

your stars are but dust on my shoes
On the flip it doesn't make any sense for Thurman to step in with Spence yet. Keith barely started making a legit name for himself through PBC after all those years of trying to get a big name to fight him, and he's gonna go ahead and fight Spence?

:smh:

The Thurman Spence fight got big money written all over it down the line. Let them both build themselves up further guarantee itd be better than any performance they could put up in September.

Although I am curious to see how ready Spence is.:patrice:

please explain what yah see in thruman, that makes it a dangerous fight for spence?

thruman is flawed as fuk and it's crazy that alot of guys out there think he's on another level then porter, and especially khan and brook. thurman been looking good against stationary guys.

Thurman got power and is explosive i give him that but, son is reckless at times and clumsy as fuk. guerrero already showed us he don't like fighting on the inside and thats something that spence does well at this point of his career. not to mention he's a helluva body puncher who knows how to set shyt up. Does thurman have that much of a high boxing IQ than the guys i already mentioned earlier in my post?

2 things i will say about spence, we don't know where his heart at and what his chin is like. thurman on the other hand we know he came back from being hurt in the chaves fight and stopped him. guerrero's blownup lightweight ass hurt him as well, i think in the 10th or 11th and he survived.

Spence-Thruman is a 50/50 fight and i like spence's chances.
