Gortat already complaining how he needs to talk to his agent and grunfeld and figure out if this is the right fit. That he sacrificed the most.


He did though. We needed his picks. He has really good hands and he sacrificed trying to score. Although that last game I didn't think they should have dumped it down to him in the post or wall should have been shooting in the fourth when clearly beal was on fire. Also they were getting burned defensively. If he's complaining centers are under appreciated he should see the why in how Kelly was burning them and how teams have learnt to play them.

Trying to figure out what we can get for him and how to fill in for what he gives us.

He just might. We offered Crabbe a max deal where his own was starting at 18.5 and Porter is a much better player. If we want we'll def be offering him a max and it is rumored..im not too excited about it though

Would have been an intriguing pickup but as long as an unimaginary guy is the GM, we have no hope for buying low on guys like that.

If Otto's 1st year salary next season is in that $17-18M a year range, they'll have the MLE and Bi-Annual Exception and perhaps be under the luxury tax.

The problem is Grunfeld is going to find crappy players.

Either is an upgrade. I'd prefer Mills because he has championship experience and he'd get a lot of 3s in DC....Probably would play with Satoransky off the bench.

I'm thinking Ernie offers Otto 5 years $100M. Puts his starting salary at just over $17M with max raises (Just over 18M with 4.5% raises), which gives us enough room to use most of the MLE.

If we let Otto walk, I'll be pissed but Grunfail can't lose his own #3 overall pick from a draft that was only 4 years ago.
