Nah in NY for these kinds of cases, you have to come up with the money because they gotta ensure you can pay the Civil Court judgement.
They are saying Trump only gotta pay $175M for now instead of putting up the full amount before the appeals process.
Based on what they're saying, this gives him wiggle room NOW.....but he'll still owe the remainder of the $$$ because it's very unlikely he would win an appeal. It was a bench trial so the judge made the decision instead of random jurors.
All he's doing is delaying as long as he can until he can sell that Truth Social stock...which will give him liquidity.
Honestly not sure why they are giving him the leeway but financially it makes sense for New York. Right now Trump doesn't have the assets to cover $460M+. His cash, savings and securities aren't enough.....so they'd have to sell properties but that takes time. By allowing him to wait, they can get an easy $175M now.....and then when he loses the appeal, by then they figure he'll be flush with cash from Truth Social. Instead of having to sell his properties and get deep in the weeds, he'll have cold hard cash and they can just take it.
Not to mention they didn't delay the trial. The defense was so on scramble mode trying to push this money off. That they'll only have now 3 more weeks to prepare. Once this is in front of a grand jury he's cooked. Then they'll just take whatever he made from Truth and that doesn't even cover the civil trial judgment nor any of the shyt happening with the documents case.
This is why you don't commit multiple crimes with the expectation of immunity. He may not make it to November.

100%, that's his whole strategy.
Think about it....if he was truly innocent and confident, he would want ALL these trials to play out ASAP. Imagine the boost he would get if he was cleared in all the cases BEFORE election day.
Dude could tap dance his way back to the White House.
He knows he's guilty of everything they've indicted him with and there's no way to wiggle out of it legitimately. Delay, delay, delay and then hope that somehow he can win the election before all these judgements come down. As President he's counting on the powers of the office to shield himself from consequences.
Best way to judge his actions is by putting ourselves in his shoes. If you're Trump....what would your strategy be if you know you're innocent vs guilty? His strategy is that of a person that knows he's guilty.

Which then throws us into a Constitutional Crisis because while powers in office shields you from shyt you do AS President, it ain't got shyt to do with before or after. And the hush money case was before so was the civil trial. So the only thing that would actually protect him from is the documents case. But even then, we've never had to deal with a President that's got ACTIVE cases or convictions on him. It's all fukked up and the GOP will do anything to insulate him. Problem is, if they DON'T win theyve thrown the baby out with the bathwater and crippled the party nationally. Not to mention their electorate is dying out.
Either way he gotta come out that bread for the civil case.
