It would be huge, if he went there and did a shoot on WWE it would get big ratings and make people switch. It would be 1 of the most dramatic things done if they do that for a while. Would really feel like a war. I don't think he'd work in an authority position but if he came in there and shytted on WWE and put over AEW would be a huge moment, even if it was a 1 off.

They are already winning comfortably on Wednesdays, it's not like people will tune in massively for a segment that wasn't advertised. It may get a ton of talk on Twitter and views of Youtube but again, AEW already has that on lock. They don't need a cheap spike just because Bischoff might do shoot promo number 36 of his career.

Only way I'd think that would be worth is if after the promo Bischoff gets :camby: and destroyed by someone on AEW's roster. On some "no one gives a fukk about you anymore". That way you get the cheap spike for a promo but at the same time you make sure Bischoff wont be seen again AND you make AEW look like it's above whatever petty shyt might be happening between Eric and WWE :manny:

Please no, it was corny when TNA did those "hot mic" shoots, it would be corny now, it's some bush league shyt. Hell Angle and Jarrett's feud in TNA in 08 was based around WWE.

It's more than about Wednesday's, at some point they want to try increase that and challenge Raw and Smackdown, that's gonna take time for sure, but if the show is made unmissable because anything can happen, especially random current suprises like that it would help people watch, cause you wanna watch it live to see what's gonna happen. Wanna be on the edge of your seat and that's a good way to establish that.

I agree they don't NEED Eric Bischoff, not at all. He's outdated in many ways, however sometimes I think capitalizing on the momentum is important, if they did a surprise segment with Bischoff this week then tease something next week, like he's bringing someone else with him, that could really help their ratings if done right, will get 100's of 1000's of people more and every little helps at this stage.

They could do the beatdown ish later, I don't think Eric should have any control there, too old fashioned but as a talent on a short term basis, maybe a year he could be useful if used right. It isn't just about Eric but what it establishes about the show, for too long WWE's shows have been very predictable and lacking surprises, if they bring Eric in so quick it would get people talking, that word of mouth advertising is helpful at this point. It would give them a boost, it shouldn't overshadow completely everything they are doing and planning, but really solid segment could help them. It's probably unlikely Bischoff shows up, but if he does it will be talked about everywhere and everyone will be talking about AEW that is a wrestling fan.

Yup. NXT is the only reason WWE is surviving product wise.

:comeon:

Raw and Smackdown have far more viewers than NXT. Smackdown on USA had double the viewers, Smackdown on Fox has triple the viewers even after a 25% drop in ratings. Raw has over double the viewers. If NXT was the only reason WWE was surviving product wise (and I assume by this you mean show quality wise), the audience would be much larger.

NXT has been ultimately fairly meaningless in that the audience is small and talents that get introduced from NXT always end up needing to be re-introduced to the larger audience anyway in a way that you could just throw these guys on Raw/SD without ever having seen NXT and it'd be exactly the same.

Did they really? I haven't heard about this

”Despite Seth Rollins getting a mixed reaction on this week's WWE RAW, F4WOnline.com notes that the segment with him burning down the Firefly Funhouse was reportedly not designed to turn him heel. Dave Meltzer has speculated that FOX executives possibly wanted the segments written off."
