shyt was so much cooler in the 90s from the vibe of the commercials to the music in the videos…WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WORLD WE DIGRESSED FROM THE PATH WE WAS ON IN THE 90s 9/11 really was the beginning of the end

Once Dunya stole the election from AL gore.

That bill Clinton rehab of America plan from Bush Sr. Never got to take full circle to rid us of the stench of Reagan to Bush. Plus once the republicans stole the election. The republicans started pumping.
being just as clueless and aloof.
as the coke head president caught twice with powder in his cutlass Ciera. George w bush.

That after the election was stolen.

The republicans continued the aloof stoopid madness.

The country got run into the ground.

That by the time Obama came along. It was so far rooted in being fukked up. We never recovered. Then after Obama we had that goof ass coup maker orange picolo trump klu klux klan republican bullshyt start back up. Like a horrific reviewing of birth of a nation. To....
Here we are.

95 to 2005 all I care about

Actually the mayor episodes. Once he stops trying to be a comedian.
are a rampup to what would become.
the best Incarnation of joe Clair And one of my three all hiphop crushs, in big lez.[I got to meet her at bacardi Gras in 1996 too tho]

The first mayor episode are probably even more cringe. than when they aired. If we revisit them.

Mayor was lucky.
The mayor got the memo.
to cool all the comedic bullshyt out. This is hiphop culture. Not your stand up.

Downloading the whole channel before it’s gone :wow:

I been systemically ripping every rap video I can.
putting them on my phone playlist for my car.

I been watching.
or listening to rap videos from the era. For quite a while now. When I wanna feel nostalgic. I got a eighties pop one I been making too. With everything from the jets to the Boyz to hall and oats. To the aha's to tears for fears.

So I am gonna enjoy these links.

I think I need rough house survivors first single still. Plus a few more gems here and there.
to feel I did my due dilligence.

I recommend any body older to do it.

As it brings back a certain viewing.
you really can not replicate anymore.
I really miss not being able to turn the TV to the box. Or before that channell 66 for videos in between commercials.

So channels like this.
I can't wait.

Like a Redman followup single.

Rap City and 106 & Park was the cornerstone of your evening after a long day of work, school, etc... IDC what anyone says. U didn't watch the same movies every day either like now.

No matter what u were doin, u had your TV on lock from 5PM to 10PM(U either stuck around and watched Access Granted or a good movie like Bebe's Kids or Hot Boys). On Sundays after Video Gospel, BET would either air a whole marathon of Wayans Bros or throw on movies all day.

I remember getting my homework done by 4:00PM to catch Rap City as a kid. My Grandmother made sure that it was neat and correct before she let me watch it.

I miss those days so bad.

This..

AFTER 2007, BET became worst.

Rap City died in Fall 2008. Luckily 106 & Park was hanging on a limb.

Even Cartoon Network became terrible.

Rap City was a good promotional tool. We see your video, we went out and brought the CD the next week

Video vibrations was the original show on bet. Way before rap city. That really debuted all the golden era rap videos. Not yo mtv raps. Later yo started.
Donnie hosted the video vibrations.

Originally,..video vibrations was rhe original goat video show.
on all of cable for black America.

I think it is a little bit before y'all cognitive time.

Yet it was dope for the day. Because the whole show was rnb.
So for a bboy like me.

You had to wait till the last few videos to get the rap videos.

All the golden era rap vids debuted on video vibrations.
at the very very end of the show.

Night of the living bass heads debut.

I still remember so vividly.
when it premiered.

back when rap did not come on during primetime at all. Past heavy d.
til don't believe the hype

finally broke the Tim Joyner top twenty countdown. Before that and heavy d. You never heard rap on radio at all.
past college radio on whpk.
or wgci 1390 am show with ramone ski.

so you guys have it good as far as. You do not have to go to any extreme lengths.
to hear anything related to hiphop.

Found this channel last week and saw some of these.

Honestly, watching these get me puzzled with where hip hop and urban culture is today. Seeing a "Teen Summit" commercial bring back memories. The message that show would beibg to teens in urban communities today has been replaced with Love and Hip-hop and other ignorant garbage.

Society has fallen off big time since 93.

1993 was the actual dawn and beginning year of the prison industrial economy system. Using rap as its gateway erroneously.

Sending an entire generation and world off.
Always pay attention to the year of 3.

As they alway up to sumfin.
in the year ending in three. 83 = pretty much the original fad death of rap till ll cool came down the ramp in 84.

93 = beginning of the prison industrial economy and dire effects from the communication act

03 = beginning segregation. Of hiphop culture from its business of rap. Beginning of pr of serial killers in rap via xraided.

13 = totally dissolution culturally of hiphop from rap.
Complete dawn of the rap serial killer.
which was squelched culturally before in 1993.
with xraided being ostracized culturally from hiphop.

23 = more of the downward cultutal sliding scale from 03 and 13. With an emphasis on lack of culture based around serial killer and street walker personalities. Who are not apart of hiphop cultire.

Even the mid back then was quality :francis:

They couldn't afford to make low effort filler back then
