That is great fam. I am happy for you.

But you can't replace 7 or 8 years of mediocre to poor matchmaking because they've had one good year.

And I never said they ruined boxing. I just don't like that most of their top talent sits on the shelf waiting for the next million dollar check.
exactly...when HBO got out of the boxing business the ppl posting on here on the time def listed it out many reasons why it did

showtime its not just whether its something is in the green or red...thats far too simplistic..its the product too..the boxing product...they were the main broadcaster of PBC...PBC did a lot of wrong things..they were not perfect..a lot of the things that i said about PBC going way back that were doing wrong came to pass (@Knicksman20 will tell you and some others) that came to pass...but there was too much caping..hell i had to warn ppl that took offense with what i said about pbc and start calling me out my name that i'd whoop their asses and break their jaws :heh:...im all for PBC finding a new home..i just hope they learn from their mistakes wherever they land..theres gotta be a balance

Niether did Spence.. and thats why PBC getting kicked off Showtime :skip:

All of this evidence that's been staring them in the face and still in denial.

PBC been kicked off or no longer does business with

Fox
CBS
ESPN
Spike
Showtime
HBO when they got banned

And all their other affiliates yet somehow this convo shifted to Bud. All boxing promoters got foul tactics but clearly PBC has a reputation of not being easy to deal with or simply less than stellar business practices with its partners if this keeps happening.

Dudes really defending this like they are payroll for PBC

They overpaid fighters it’s really that simple. All the other shyt is what other promoters do as well. We can go down the line to n every promotion and find fighters to at have not fought anybody difference is they getting paid 80-100k a fight not 800k to 1m

All of this PBC hate is irrational seeing as the two biggest stars who weren’t already under them kissed the ring this year. Bud was walking around wearing Old Navy and Southpole and now he’s dressing like Frank Lucas :heh: Uncle Al made him a new man

Y'all can keep pretending Bud and Canelo aren’t PBC now if it makes y'all feel better though :mjlol:

Showtime is not just going out of boxing.....they are shutting their whole SPORTS DIVISION down because of their failed investment in Paramount+ which cost them billions and they also had a change in leadership.

We are living in an era where these networks are scrambling because of declining viewership all across the board and a changing media landscape which is going to streaming that are costing these companies billions. Thats why you seeing mass layoff at ESPN and them pulling back their boxing output because Disney+ cost them billions in loss.

Dudes are so blinded by their hate to Al Haymon that they can't see the facts infront of them :francis:

Also that next PBC deal is signed....guess the haters gotta stay tuned in :umad:

That's the difference no one is hating we just want to see good fights which traditionally PBC failed to do because they frequently overpaid for poor fights.

The difference is when Bob or Eddie or Oscar makes a tragic mistake we call it out and we don't refer to the manager or the CEO of the company as Allah like PBC Stans do Haymon.

Crawford and Canelo made business decisions and kudos to them.

But let's not act like this just suddenly happened. Folks have been having issues with their matchmaking and over inflated purses and fighters Mayweather-lite tendencies for YEARS (A-side, wrong side of street. Blah blah).

Hopefully what good can come from this is that fighters will have to fight more frequently and maybe some of those tendencies that they've gotten accustomed to doing and getting away with will go away because the next network or stream service they deal with simply won't put up with it.

Companies are switching to their core business models. And streaming and digital is expensive and they are cutting costs.

Yes that is absolutely 100% true but if this was the first time that this happened to PBC no one would say anything them going to their fifth or 6th or 7th network at this point is ridiculous.

Now you judging a fighters worth based off their wardrobe:mjlol:....bud been making more money than all them PBC dudes his entire career. That's a fact. He made 6 mil guaranteed for porter. 5.5 mil for Khan. 4 mil for brook. But yea...I'm sure he could only afford southpole. Jesus christ :mjlol:

Meanwhile Spence made 2 million guaranteed to fight porter. Keith and Shawn both got 1 million for their fight :dead:

But I know. Al haymon paid em all 20 million under the table right:skip:

Fact is spence got the biggest payday of his career because bud schooled him on business. Showed Errol Spence his worth. Gave him the courage to stand up to his boss and be a better man than he used to be. Now he can retire with generational wealth. Bud gave him a lesson inside and out of the ring:wow:

These dudes acting like Canelo wasn't making 40 million on the Triple G fights.

That's exactly the issue we're talking about somehow they think that Al is the end-all be all to get paid and they side with him.

And that kissed the ring talk is exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to Al Haymon fans

Live sports is always expensive. Why pay for the content when they aren't seeing the return on investment.

Traditionally PBC has had the biggest and multiple FOTY winners and candidates stop it. I think the Pandemic has blinded people’s memory of what PBC was before a global event that changed TV and consumerism everywhere.

They fukked up paying too much to fighters and keeping minimums so high. That has been there biggest mistake but putting on good fights compared to all of boxing has not.

They mad a lot of money on PPVs don’t be fooled they just have to downsize everything at the company. ESPN still making money. Rights deals for other sports keep getting bigger and bigger.

Truth Pat! You were the first I believe to really go in on PBC here & their match ups for years & people thought you were hating lol. I used to think you were being a little too critical at first but you were 100% right & called them out for it real-time

It's really just Floyd stans. They view PBC as Floyd's company so they gotta stan it by association. When the truth is they are exactly the same as every other crooked promotional company. They keep their guys in check and only allow them to be in huge fights when they're backed into a corner.

They shyt the bed with every network who gave them a chance because they got greedy. Now they might have to crawl on their hands and knees to a streaming service after shytting on the streaming platform for years. shyt is wild how the tables have turned for them. But they did it to themselves.
