lol, I got lots of half AA cousins they mostly stuck to they AA side. The one I'm closest to used to get shyt from those closet :mjpls: types all the time it's what made me hate them confused nikkaz so much. Honestly, some Ethiopians can be some cold bamas that's why the majority of my friends aren't Ethiopian them nikkaz talk shyt thinkin I don't understand em. That country breeds fakeness, thank god my mother taught me better.

This nigerian dude told me Ethiopians are considered jews in africa :pachaha: I didn't get what that meant exactly but I knew it was a low key insult

And AA's are the ones who use to make me feel like an alien :snoop:

Let me expand a little on the questions about :mjpls: shyt. I can't really speak on Somalis they gotta answer for themselves.

Ethiopia didn't abolish slavery til 1924 and it took another decade for the law to be fully implemented and respected. So of course, the slaves in those days were typically the darker tribes and the tribes with more so called African features. So the perception of blackness meaning slave, lowly, servant, ugly, etc etc sorta translated into this day as :mjpls: type shyt. Even today some chicks will date you but won't marry you because their parents and grandparents are products of that era. "Bariya" was the word for slave, "Galla" in particular refers to the Oromo tribe which is the biggest tribe in Ethiopia and mostly of a darker complexion. So usually when :mjpls: types want to insult you they call you "bariya" and I can't tell the the amount of times I've heard that referred to me because I'm tatted and talk like a nikka. Makes you realize how recent it was since Ethiopians was so backwards. :ld:

How do Ethiopians view working with Africans when it comes to economics and social issues?

lmfao that was a total insult, Naijas the only ones as arrogant as we are I just give em the :mjpls: when they talk shyt.

You couldn't be more right about that tho, AAs are fukkin terrible to deal with when you're a kid especially. It's really a two sided issue, sometimes AAs can be ignorant as fukk and that pushed some away and gave em a bad opinion. When my cousin switched from an Afrocentric charter school to public school he used to get non-stop shyt over his name.

Why your women look so damn good? :noah: :wow:

They walk everywhere and eat a generally good diet, Habeshas looks come from mixing back in the beginning of the Axumite Empire. We got elements of Indian, Persian, Greek, Syrian, and Arab but generally the indigenous African portion of us is the most dominant.

Very favorably. Ethiopians that are educated understand the role that the country played in African history and the history of the diaspora. So they like to be real active in this field, but at the same time their foremost focus is on Ethiopian people since most of em are living fukked up right now.

I ain't gon lie that's what it is breh. It wasn't on some plantation shyt like that although that was there too, mostly domestic servants kinda like Medieval serfdom. Haile Selassie only passed that law to get into the League of Nations, he was reluctant because most of the noble class had no plans on giving up the old system was pissed about it. Ironically, it was the Italian fascists that enforced the slavery ban. They used that to put the poorer people against the Habeshas tho so they weren't doing it out of benevolence.

What is their willingness to work with African Americans on the same issues? And do you know of anyone currently doing anything like that?

It just dawned on me that there's IS a large influx of Africans in Washington DC, do you think they account for the large number of HIV/AIDS in the DC area?

Have u ran into that down low nikka on the train again? If so did y'all duke it out this time? :mjlol:

lmfaoooooooo, fukk no thank god. This does remind me of a story tho...:ld:

Last year when I was in Ethiopia me, my brother, and my cousin where at this khat chewing spot(Khat is like the East African/Arabian version of coca leaves) so I'm usually a listener more than a talker in those situations cuz I like to use the time to pick up the language plus I was high as fukk so I was just tryna chill. This one cat was wondering why I was so quiet then started talkin to me, I thought nothin of it, so I told him I want to learn how to write in Amharic so he started showing me how and I figured out how to write my name and a sentence. When we were leaving, dude just randomly jotted down his number in case I wanted more lessons. I was like whatever and took the number, when we get back to my grandma's house my cousin tells me "You know he's gay right?" and I was like "What? How is he gay he never said any gay shyt. :what:" and she was like "Naw, Mike(my brother) told me dude is gay he tried to get a nikka like that one time and he got beat the fukk down." so I went and asked my brother and he was like :mjpls: and I was like :merchant: :scusthov: :why: :snoop:

Needless to say, I was totally on guard after that.

Oh, and another thing....nikkaz in Ethiopia don't know about personal space. nikkaz be all hugged up like chicks do here, it's a show a friendship to them but seeing them nikkaz walk down the street with their pinkies cuffed together had me like :mindblown:
