Both of these were very solid releases. Iamsu has his own lane, Joe Blow, Jacka was dope as hell and transcended the regional bay sound, Paris just dropped, there was a thread made about Boots today.. And to OP, the bay was never a huge player nationally, but we always had our own thing and one of the few regions that continues to support homegrown acts. The bay and Houston pretty much mirror each other in hiphop, had a few moments, but local love is all that matters

I respect the historical rappers they had back in the 80's and 90's and i'll admit that some of the best songs that i've ever heard were from there like 95 til infinity, The Ghetto, Brenda's got a baby, i got 5 on it, and Trigga Gots No Heart and had some Incredible albums there in that time period too. I'm not the biggest Paris fan but in respect his energy and his skill set.


Fast forward to 2015, that whole region is barely making any contributions since The beginning of this decade and all they do is just complain about DJ Mustard taking their style all day.
